Super cute, but run large

These shorts are cute and full coverage for sure. The waist hits just below my belly button so bending over is not a problem. The quality is perfect, as expected when ordering a Carve suit. I do think they run really big though. I usually order medium swim bottoms, but after reading the reviews on the Carve website, I ordered a small. I could easily wear an XS here, and I am NOT an XS in bottoms. My hips are 37.5 inches. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs, muscular, and very pear shaped. I carry almost all my weight in my butt and hips, which is why I went with shorts, I felt the Carve bikini bottoms (that I ordered in a medium by the way) are too cheeky for my comfort level. Also the fabric does balloon out in the water at the front of the suit, but that might just be because they're too big.

Great fit, good value

These cute shorts have full coverage, but the rise can be adjusted with the drawstrings on the side. I wore these with a short sleeve rash shirt and sports bra for a modest, sporty swimsuit. These are very similar to a pair I have from Athleta, and they are just as nice and significantly less expensive. I would buy again.

Fun On The Beach

I love this brand and these shorts. I bought a blue pair at REI -- never thought to look on Amazon. Loved them so much that I wanted them in black to go with other swim tops. Great to bring on beach vacations and to wear them for other activities like hiking, biking and tennis.

Had to return due to muffin top

I tried the medium and the large, and the wat the cut is, it is so tight at your waist that you get massive muffin top. Had to return. I got the same style at Kohl's, but no muffin top.

Mixed Reviews

I love the coverage of the product, they are very comfortable and great while on dry land. When I enter the water they loosen up and float out what feels like an inch around my waist. I could not take a smaller size when dry. There is no inner tie so you can tighten them when wet. As soon as I am out of the water they cling right back to your body. These would be perfect if you could tighten in the water.

Love these

I love these swim shorts. I typically like to wear the shorts rather than a bikini bottom because I like the extra coverage, and am more comfortable walking around with them on. These are super cute with the trim on the sides, and fit well. I would recommend.

Perfect Fit, Perfect Style

I loved everything about these swim short and hands down the most beautiful and most comfortable shorts on the market. Just the right amount of coverage and Uber comfy fit. Only returned as I've still yet to loose some of the extra weight gained from lock-down, so it's hard to approve of anything for my rear/bottom at the moment. But once I've got my tummy back to desirable shape I will be purchasing these shorts ASAP.
