Stretch fabric makes it easy to take off.
I have 6 pairs of the regular non stretch carhart scrubs from when i was a histotech. they served well on the job and I continued wearing them through medical school, but they have begun to come apart at the seams. stitching came apart in the pockets and my thighs wore through the crotch. this problem mostly relates to the pants. the tops are still as functional as new but I have broad shoulders from weightlifting and often have to have my wife peel the scrubs over my head. the flex in these has enough give for me to easily remove them, more like a t shirt. I need to go make a separate review for the pants because that is where the stretch really shines! one recurrent issue is that the fabric holds on to moisture. I live in the humid south and sweat a lot at baseline. my back is often soaked by the time I get into the hospital. these stay damp for a while, but I have similar issues with hospital scrubs so it may not make much difference.

Pills after only a few washings.
Went from a career in carpentry into nursing, so, a lifetime of familiarity with Carhartt. These Scrubs are a perfect illustration of carhartts recent history: a legendary construction workwear company who decided they needed to become a more general outerwear company, with mixed results. I won't be returning these because I suspected many of my complaints would be the case, but took the risk because I have some brand loyalty left over. So, the blame is mine. Ripstop nylon is awesome for some stuff, but makes for a stiff and heavy scrub top. Ripstop is a great fabric that gets less great every time you wash it. How do you think it would turn out if you put your awesome new tent in the washer and dryer after each night you slept in it? Your answer is correct. Side entry pockets are a terrible idea for nurses is a thing I learned from these scrubs. The badge loop at the shoulder is great, as are the breast pocket divisions. The tapered cargo scrub pants Carhartt makes are actually very good, with good pocket numbers and placement. They are not a color match for these Navy Blue to Navy Blue, which is odd to me, but I recommend those. I would definitely buy Carhartt scrubs (and have) but not these.

Scrubs for a Male in a world of scrubs for Females.
The only thing I can complain about in a female dominated field such as nursing is the difficulty in finding scrubs that are for men. Right amount of pockets, right material, right cut for wear. All those problems went away when I got this style of Carhartt. So impressed I immediately ordered two more. I have been a loyal carhartt consumer throughout my life and when I started nursing school two years ago we were allowed to pick our scrubs as long as they were the school prescribed color. There was no doubt what company I would be going with. I originally wore the original Carhartt rip stop tops, but these are a great improvement. The material gives just the right amount stretch, comfortable for 12+hr shifts, and doesn’t bunch up or chaff. It says slim fit(I’m a larger guy) but fits just like my original carhartt scrubs. The only thing I could ask for is to include two more pockets on the front like the 3 pocket tops(can’t have too many pockets).

Sizing is problematic at best
Considering that the XL top that I returned was huge and swam on me and was not in any way a tapered or a slim fit I was confident that a Lg would be the correct size. Imagine my surprise when I put this one on the first time. It is considerably smaller (enough that I checked the label to verify the size, I thought I had been shipped a medium in error) and it is definitely a tapered slim fit). There does not seem to be a happy median between the two sizes. I'll probably keep it and see if it has enough flexibility for comfort over a long shift. The arm pocket is still in a strange location it should be located further forward to be useful as it is on a work shirt.

got what I paid for should have looked closer to see it was only the top
my fault I did not look close enough to see it was only the top

Great value
Considering it’s labeled slim fit I feel it is a little bigger than I expected actually more of a reg fit. Bear in mind I am often described as skinny. With that being said, the quality seems top notch. The fabric is a little stiff out the gate but I feel it will soften over time. I really like the multiple pockets and that they are on the side and not front. To me just seems more like a male scrub top that way. Honestly for the price this was selling for, I took a chance and bought 3. Even tho I don’t think they are slim fit, I’m perfectly happy with them.

Material and durability is fine but design is not.
Material and durability is fine but design is not. The neck opening is so big that an elephant head can go through.

This is a really cool shirt.
It fits awesome and has a bit of stretch. I'm a carpenter, it's fun to branch out a bit style wise. Actually this shirt is really practical. It is easy to move in and has a couple of low key pockets if you need them.

Not Slim Fit!
This is a solid scrub top, but this is not a slim fit version - at least not the one I received. This is the exact same fit/size as a non-slim fit Carharrt mens scrub top I purchased from Marks Work Warehouse. 5 star product - I love these shirts - but rated 3 stars as was disappointed by the stardard fit. Would definitely recommend the product, just don't get your hopes up for a flattering slim fit.
