Great ski base layer
Used this for skiing and found it to be a solid option. Price wise a lot better than a lot of other name brands and does the job. Also has a little thumb loop that holds the sleeve from rolling up as you put other layers on etc. Ended up getting a second one to have multiple.

Carhartt keeping you wam
First off is the sizing as many have asked about it with the Carhartt Base Layer Men's Force Midweight Tech Thermal Base Layer Long Sleeve Shirt, whew long name lol. I ordered a Medium and am 130 lbs 5' 5" at it fits amazingly! There is a little wiggle room, however it fits to my body quite well yet it isn't squeezing me like an anaconda. The material is super soft, almost feels silky as it is 100% polyester. While this shirt keeps you warm it is also designed to wick moisture away from you body and so far I haven't had any sweat issues while wearing it compared to the classic thermal styles. I will admit I was hesitant to purchase this over the classic waffle thermal pattern, they have the exact top in that form, but I am very happy I did go with the newer style as it is the best thermal top I've ever owned. Any more questions feel free to ask and I'll answer as honestly as I can.

Comfortable, short for 6’1’ or more
Love the Carhartt line. I’m 6’2” and 195lbs, unfortunately I need LT as your sleeves run about an 1” - 1 1/2” short. I couldn’t tuck the waist either, as soon as I sit down it pulls out. Make them a hair longer or make the LT more readily available!

One star off for soo small sizing
I bought my husband the "Midweight Classic Thermal Base Layer" and it fit him like a glove. He looked sexy in it and we wanted to try out other Carhartt shirts. This "Midweight Tech Thermal" was softer but much more fitted. This one definitely fits like an undershirt whereas the other one fits like a normal shirt. But, this one has a zipper on the chest, so how could you wear it under another shirt? We're returning and getting another of the "classic thermal."

Love these shirts
These have become my go to shirts for work. Have like a dozen of them now. Perfect fit, look great, reasonably priced. Haven't had any shrinkage in the laundry.

Decent light-weight thermals
I'm a volunteer firefighter, I bought these for the nights I end up doing traffic control at 2AM on a northern New Mexico winter morning. While these are marginally heavier than the cheap, basic thermals I've gotten in the past, they lack elasticity, making for what I feel to be a poor fit, and I expected more insulation from a "midweight" top. I'll still use them when I have to be outside on a cold day, but, as I've unfortunately come to expect from carhart these last few years, these are not what I'd consider really solid work clothes. On another note one of the thumb loops started to unravel the first time I wore it. Bottom line, they're ok as a light base layer, but if you need something you can depend on in extreme conditions, look elsewhere.
