great product
I see a lot of people complaining about it hurting, or whatever, but make sure you adjust yourself PROPERLY before letting it "hug" you. fits great, a bit uncomfortable at first if you are new to this type of product but easy to get used to. however, personally, the sides of the front, as it goes under me and towards the back seem to be a bit small, so even after making a few adjustments to fit properly, it seems to shift a bit and leave a small open gap that's a bit uncomfortable for me. I would suggest going to a dance shop and seeing if you can get properly fitted and comfortable, but if it's not an option this is a great option for the price. I did use the product measurements as well and everything seems to be correct, so don't order a size up or down based on others' comments. it's supposed to be snug to keep yourself from being hurt.

Not made for large fruit baskets
Ok so…I’ve never worn a dance belt but was recommended to get one by my Spider-Man cosplay buddies. They said, “get the thong one, Cyrus. You can’t go wrong with that.” I’m 6’1” with a 36” waist, and I decided to buy the XL one. The part I was worried about the most was the thong part that goes between the buns. Honestly, that got comfortable overtime. My only issue was the front. For some reason, no matter what, it’s like my banana and cherries were throwing a tantrum and found ways to escape. This was so frustrating at work wearing leggings while trying to portray the intercontinental heavyweight champion, Randy Savage. I wish they made the front pouch a little wider. That way I could keep the fruit basket in check.

Great for Color Guard
I have never done anything requiring a dance belt in my life—until I joined color guard. I was immediately told that I can’t have “lumps” in my competition uniform, so I immediately rushed to amazon, did a little research and picked this one. I slipped it on when it was delivered and the feeling was... odd... The thong immediately felt like an intense wedgie, but that rope-like feeling went away after I did a few stretches and routines, and I slowly got used to it (however how can you *really* get used to a rope up your crack.) This dance belt is surprisingly comfortable! It’s made out of a nice stretchy material and doesn’t crush your precious jewels, and just gives everything a nice hug. There was no unusual lumping and it kept everything looking like a nice Ken doll. I highly recommend this belt if you’re doing anything like color guard.

I think these are preference. Just like boxers.
I have tried several different brands over the years and although this supports well, I am just not a fan of the big elastic. But I know others who like these. I think they are well made and mine lasted along time. I have had this one before and this is my second. For me it also depends what I’m wearing. If I’m wearing something tight then I prefer a different brand but if not these are more than fine.

Tight and supportive
I bought these to wear under my tights to cover my bulge. They do the job but they are a bit uncomfortable. The thong is thick so it hurts a little at first. Overall they are good but your ass might be sore a bit at first.

Good fit. Very tolerable for a 1 hour class.
Never having worn a "thong," I was unprepared for the way this dance belt is worn. You will notice at the top of the page that person wearing the garment is not photographed from behind. That is because the back of the garment is worn within the wearer's buttocks. All the way up in there. It will be interesting to see how this thing holds up in the laundry. It rides up so high, it rubs on areas I usually only touch with toilet paper, and I cannot bring myself to wear it twice between washings. Up front, all your junk is compressed into a very small pouch. If everything isn't arranged just so, something will poke out to the sides, but once it's all put away, I've never had it slip out in the middle of a dance class. It's not comfortable, but once class starts, everything else we do is so much more uncomfortable, I don't really notice the belt. It is so good to be out of it for the ride home, though. (I’m not going to change the number of stars on my review, but I do want to add an additional observation. This is probably true of any thong-type dance belt anyway. Because the thong strap leans against the back door, as it were, it makes it very difficult to fart quietly. This is not a small consideration. I’m in a class with mostly women. Like most people, if I do have to fart, I would like to do it without attracting attention to myself. Preferably, I would like to let it out silently and time it to the movements of the group so it’s hard to pin the blame on anyone in particular. Not with this thong. It’s more like “PRRRRRRRRT! Excuse me.” or “PRRRRT! Oh, excuse-... cough, cough (fan with the hands), excuse me!” And then everyone knows. It’s kinda embarrassing.)

fair fit, good price, useful accessory
I purchased this item as an accessory for display, as I sometimes have to wear tights and other form fitting clothing and let's face it... Nobody wants to give the entire convention floor a detailed view of their anatomy for several hours. With that said I looked into getting one of these. This is my first dance belt so I didn't know what to expect. The reality is, its a thong, and as with all thongs they will go between your cheeks and bury themselves there so long as you wear it. I wore it around the house under a set of running tights that I use for an N7 costume and was fine, the compression from the belt and the tights combined was actually fairly comfortable and I didn't have to feel worried about squashing my "jewels" as they were held secure. My biggest mark off is the excessively large tags and some somewhat rough stitching which chaffed a bit. I cut the tags, washed it in some very good laundry soap and fabric softener and it was much more comfortable. I didn't have problems getting into the belt but I did have to tuck the boys in as I put it on and once everything was in place it did NOT move. I am willing to bet that there are better quality dance belts available but this one has proven pretty good and nowhere near as uncomfortable as some people would have you believe. Just remember even dancers don't like dance belts, but they also agree that the one thing worse is NOT havinging one.

Far too small for the Hulk
Size XL feels more like a size M. Now training using compression shorts, as they are far too small.

Works Well
I bought one of these for aerial silks because my man package had a tendency to get tugged whenever the fabrics went around my crotch. This is no longer an issues while wearing this although it doesn't protect from direct pressure. There's still a visible bulge but it's not too pronounced. Works very well for what I need anyway. I wear 32 waist jeans with a belt and I'm normally sized small in clothing, so I went with a medium.

Great Support & Coverage!
I wear CW-X running tights when I jog as I like the support they give my knees and leg muscles etc. I’ve been wearing oversized sport tee’s to maintain my “modesty” - I’m not the type who likes to flash his junk at the neighbors! - but although the tee’s gave me the longer hemline I wanted, I was fed up with the way they hung off me and flapped around in the breeze! LOL! I tried a jockstrap and although it helped it was still too “revealing,” then I found these and thought I’d give them a try, even though they’re non-returnable, but I’m glad to say they’re the perfect solution. To say they’re a snug fit is an understatement; I’m a 32” waist and bought a medium, which is not uncomfortably tight as some have said, but you definitely know you’re wearing them, at least initially. There’s a specific technique to wearing a dance belt, and I’d be willing to bet that a lot of the comments regarding crushing and excessive tightness are due to people trying to wear them like regular undies; just search for “How to wear a dance belt” and you’ll find plenty of tips. Basically, all your guy parts have to be in front, and pulled upwards; once you have them arranged correctly the material holds everything securely in place against your lower abdomen, giving a smooth, jiggle and detail free look, and nothing moves until you take them off again! As I said above, these give great support AND coverage, so I’m very happy indeed with my purchase, and have already ordered additional pairs.
