Nice candles, but…

I ordered two white candles in different sizes (same brand/manufacturer/color). Very pretty and work well. However, one burns a “warm white” light and the other burns a “bright white” color. Wish they were the same because these candles are side by side, and there is a notable difference.

Love the candle, but watch out for the remote!

Sheepishly I have to admit, I love battery powered candles... I used to think they were cheesy, until my wife got one! I tried out this particular candle and really like it. I really like the subtly bobbing mechanical flame, it's just a small about of movement to catch your eye as if it's a real flame. Also, I LOVE the fact that it will turn on every 24hrs from when you last turned it on! It's almost like a smart candle. There are settings for flicker speed, amount, brightness, and how much of the candle body lights up. Bonus points for having an outside wax coating. The downside, unfortunately, and why I didn't give it 5 stars is the remote. At a range of around 8-12ft, the remote is just not reliable enough... I'll often have to hit a button twice, maybe three times, before the candle responds. It's not a deal breaker... usually you find your favorite settings and leave it there. But, since I use this at night when I'm in bed, if the remote would completely refuse to work (hasn't happened yet), it would mean I have to get up and turn the candle off. Knowing that, however, it's still a great visual candle with convenient features!

Good fake out, good to gift

This is a nicer quality fake candle. It has four things you can set: on/off, bright/less bright, 2/4/6/8 (for 24hr cycles), and slow/medium/fast flickering. I found the change in flickering and dimness hard to discern but noticeable when toggling. This has the right amount of light in the right places as well helps if look like a real candle. The flat wobbly flame other brands have, still seems to be a better dupe, but this hits the goal pretty close. This wobbles, flickers. Just the solid shape moving vs changing like a real flame is the main look difference. The hardest thing was this uses C batteries. This height seems just right for being in a centerpiece, decor, or taller holder. I've had an item change on me in the far past. At purchase this was called "Softflame Flameless Candle - 3 x 7 White - Fickering Moving Flame Pillar Candle, Includes Remote Control - Real Wax - 2 x C Battery Operated - Not Included (823613)" This is a new product, so it's description may adjust to suit the product over time.

White 3x7 is the whitest of the three I got

I own a set of ivory candles from SoftFlame that I love, they match each other perfectly. I got three of them in white including this 3x7 and unfortunately this is the only one of the three that is actually pure white, the other two have a slightly yellowish hue and one has a more amber colored flame, not so thrilled about the color variation of these white candles and I’ll be having to display them individually rather then together, not what I wanted. The quality control leaves a lot to be desired, at least on the white ones. As far as this particular candle goes, if it were the only one I got I would have given it 5 stars with no other to compare it too. These are really nice, the 3x7 is a good size and I really like the 3” and 4” widths displayed together with different heights. These are real wax, they come with acetate for protection so be sure to remove it for the real look of wax. The flame wiggles at varied setting, you have three settings on the remote to adjust how they move and you can also adjust the brightness on the remote, they look extremely realistic. The remote also has a simple timer setting for as long as you want them to stay on. There is an on off switch on the candle and two settings to light the body of the candle bright or dim. You get a remote with each candle of course but one will operate an entire group you’ll just have to hit the button a few times to light them all or turn them off. The candles each take two C batteries and if you use a good battery they stay working for months, I’ve owned the ivory set for many months and still haven’t replaced the batteries and we’ve used them quite a bit. I love everything about these except the unfortunate color variations, that’s just a bummer. I would recommend the ivory over the white, they didn’t have any color variations at all and they are gorgeous.

Not super bright, but that's a good thing.

Overall it's a basic fake candle. Looks good, works well, and the waxy finish is a nice touch. Don't like that it requires C batteries when we're in a world of USB-rechargeables, but.. Eh.

2 C batteries needed

Not AA, AAA, or D, but C batteries are needed. Works as described once you find C batteries. The flame sways and the candle glows. Take off the outer plastic wrapper to get to the real wax feeling candle. Free tip: Don’t scratch the candle, because it scratches easily.
