The Best Candles

I only usr Colonial Candles, as they are dripless, and they manufacture every color and size. The quality is excellent too. Before holiday time, it just made sense to order a box from Amazon to avoid the crowds in search of what i needed.

Wow! They drip, drip, drip.

The wax dripping is fun to watch. Hardened wax sometimes bounces off the little saucer, and sometimes it overflows onto the protective doily. Fun to watch, but totally unexpected entertainment. Nevertheless, may buy again. Maybe, maybe not.

Such high quality

A little spendy but you can tell the difference between these and the cheap Taper candles. Will never buy cheap taper candles again not unless for a large event. I have only ever had cheap taper candles growing up for lighting around Christmas. The three middle candles were cheap and the two outside colonial candles shown in lemoncello on right and ivory on left. There’s no comparison. For a wedding it does get spendy to buy the nice colonial candles so if I could redo I would have just bought all cheap in the same brand to get the same shape, thickness, and height and only buy these nice colonial candles for use in the house. I tried to mix and match the nice colonial with the cheap and you could definitely tell. Thankfully I get to reuse them at home and plan to just donate the cheap ones as I don’t like them. I love how taper candles feel when you light them at home with a delicious meal on the table and dimmed lights I have found it’s even more enjoyable with these luxury candles. What a difference! Will definitely be taking them out for thanksgiving! A little ambiance of light can be anyone’s HYGE. worth the money. If you do purchase hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

The best candles on the market

The first box arrived with 5 broken/cracked tapers, but were replaced within a week. Colonial Candles are the best in my opinion. Have been buying them for years.

Pleased with Purchase

I'm very happy with these candles. Although pricey, the quality appears to be excellent! They come in a very nice package and they arrived in good condition. None of them are bent or curved (unlike so many other candles). They are uniform in size and color. I LOVE that they are one color all the way through instead of being a white core dipped in a colored coating that not only looks bad when burned, but cracks and falls off. I'm extremely glad they are unscented! They look great in my candelabras. I would really love to burn them, as I think they would look even more beautiful, but I don't know if I will because of the expense; I might just have to keep them for decoration purposes only.

Be care on a second burning!!

I used these candles for two events. The candles, when new, burned perfectly dripless for approximatley three hours at a bridal shower. The next time I burned them was for a birthday dinner, with about one half of their height remaining. What a shock to glance over after less than an hour to see the table garland on fire! The candles had dripped and built up wax in an extreme way that pulled one of the candlesticks over, starting the fire. Bbe careful!!

Wick Was Not Centered

These candles costed me $48.01, $54.25 with tax CAD and you would think the wick would be centered! about 1/2 way down these dripless candles started to drip all over making a mess. I looked to find the wick was not centered. It doesn't matter how many 100's of years a business has been around, the craftsmanship can go downhill with untrained or lazy employees. I will try one more candle and if it's not centered they will be returned. The price went down to $43.99 after Christmas.

Beautiful dusty blue colour

Hesitant to buy these, as other reviews said candles were broken or bent. Mine are good, perfectly straight. Have not lit them yet, so cannot say whether they are dripless or not.

These seem to be good quality. (still can not get the ordered colour)

Of the candles we received, Colonial Candle brand, these seem to be of good quality. Unfortunately this is the second order that we have received the wrong size and colour. Amazon was, as usual, great with the return. We may order these a third time, as my wife really wants this particular colour, to see if the warehouse labeling issue has been corrected. As for this and our first order, we have received 8 inch red and then 12 inch white. Both boxes had the Amazon sticker claiming that they were 10 inch cranberry. I will be updating this review when we try again, but for now I don't recommend. Update: Jan 2020. We placed another order (at the end of the year) for the Cranberry candles and received Red, as before Amazon was good with the return, but I think we are going to give up. (Three strikes....)
