All pieces were in the package
This light fixture is like most; inexpensively made and somewhat difficult to install depending upon whether or not one has some experience installing a variety of light fixtures. The most difficult part is placing the particular type bulbs in the sockets. I suggest having some type of small suction cup to make bulb installation easier otherwise, it is a very difficult job.

Good budget fixture
I was looking for a light fixture that could be potentially utilized in one of four spaces; an entryway, hallway, bathroom or this awkward space at the end of a long dining room / den area near a wood stove surrounded by brick. (Yeah, I know... it's not my favorite either, but the house is paid for so I tend to want to stay here.) Our electrician is going to be removing ugly fluorescent lights which have thankfully died (my husband didn't see the point in replacing 'perfectly good lights'...) in the dining/den and kitchen. Now I have to decide where to use this light fixture or if I will in these areas. I unboxed the fixture and found that it was on par with its price of about thirty-seven dollars. Lightweight metal construction with plastic end caps on the 'S' shaped tubing. The light shades are alabaster white, and there are a few light (almost clear) flaws on one of the shades I received. I can turn that to the wall and it should be OK, but something to note. There were no scuffs or scratches to the bronze finish on the fixture, and at about 2' long, it's a versatile size for several spaces including walk-in closets, pantries and small kitchens in addition to hallways and nooks in your home where you want more light. The lights angle smoothly and could be easily directed. I purchased a pair of dimmer switches at my local warehouse store, and 2 packages (3 packs) Philips LED GU10 lights which are dimmable to use in this fixture. Each light is 50W max and will work with GU10 hallogens or these LEDs - which run much cooler and are more energy efficient. I also purchased this light Hampton Bay 3-Light Antique Bronze Ceiling Bar Track Lighting Kit at a local store for thirty-nine dollars. I'm leaning towards using this one in the dining room as it is also a Hampton Bay fixture and seems to match it more closely in terms of color. As for this fixture, it may end up going on a wall instead of a ceiling. I'm thinking it may work out well as a bathroom fixture, but I'm not sure since humidity may be a factor. Hallway then? The point is, if you don't look too close, this is a great buy. If you are somewhat picky (as I apparently am...) those little things that make this a low end fixture might bug you. It would be a great choice for an upgrade if you are selling your house or if you are a landlord sprucing up a rental, but if you are not planning on changing light fixtures for years to come this may be less desirable for you. I will post photos when it's up and update the review after talking with the electrician. I did look at the installation directions which were so-so, but the light looks simple to install with the basic white, black and ground wires to a single switch. The hardware is included including the caps for the wires, and most people should be able to install it in 30-40 minutes if they have any experience at all. (If not, I suggest YouTube for tutorials as there are several very clear ones on the basics of light fixture installation.) ------------------------------------------------- NOTE: This item was not well packaged from Amazon and the box was dented when I received it. However the contents were undamaged and the factory packaging kept the item well protected despite the 'munch' to the outer box. ----------------------- -------------------------

Good fixtures for what we were looking for.
We finished out a screened-in porch with a pine tongue & groove ceiling, and wanted to have lights shine from the bottom up toward the middle instead of down lighting. Once we decided on the style, we came across these and was exactly what were were looking for. The quality seems good for this price point and would buy them again. A couple of notes about them: The light bulb is a GU10 which is not a screw in bulb, it has two pins on the back, and you have to align them up with the two slots, and rotate the bulb to lock into place. Normally, on lights like this, it would not be a problem as long as you could grip the outside edge of the bulb. If you zoom into the picture and look closely, there is only about 1/8 inch between the outside edge of the bulb, and the inside edge of the globe, making it difficult to align the pins & rotate it to lock. It's not impossible by any means, however it can take several minutes trying to get the bulbs in as you also can not see the bulb base in the back. I probably would not buy these if there were going to be mounted high enough up, that I could not see into the back of the bulb mount to at least get an idea of how to start aligning the bulb. The only other thing I would mention is to hold the fixture up to where you want to mount it, and rotate the three lamps the direction you want them to shine, before you put it up. It does not technically have a top or bottom, however the lamps do not rotate a full 360 degrees, and depending on if you want them to shine up or down, will determine how they should be mounted. I uploaded two pictures of them mounted and at full brightness. We did install a dimmer switch and that worked out well. Also, if you are thinking of going with something other than the standard GU10 Halogen bulb, such as some of the newer LED, it may not fit or if it does, it may stick out past the globe. As mentioned above, there is not a lot of room between the bulb and globe.

Great little track lights, put off some heat
I bought two of these for a kitchen remodel. They installed easily and securely. They have a very modern look to them and give off a decent amount of light. They are small so don't expect one of them to work for a big room. Two things to be aware of. The light is directional, not room filling like a globe light. Also, the light bulbs for these things just put out tons of heat. I haven't found any that don't yet. Its not the fixture's fault, just the nature of the little bulbs used in track lighting. Still, I like them and the buyers loved the look. I'd buy them again.

Nice fixture for the price; a little complicated to install
My husband was ready to give a very negative review to these light fixtures, until I reminded him they cost $35 each. The positives: The fixture is all metal, the glass globes are thick glass, sturdy, and lovely, and the fixture looks really good once it's installed. The negatives: The mounting bracket was tough to mount to our existing electrical box because of the way the slots are constructed (we needed small washers to secure them); we also were unable to turn the fixture the direction we wanted it (on the ceiling), so we had to drill new holes in the bottom cover plate. The outcome: The first fixture was a pain to install; the second one was easy (because we had figured out the work-arounds to get the results we wanted). We bought 5 watt LED bulbs (equiv to 35 watts each) from a bulb specialty store. They're dimmable and the overall effect is bright and beautiful lighting for our galley kitchen. I didn't have any trouble putting the light bulbs into the fixture because they're a push & turn style. I put the light bulb inside the globe and then pushed the bulb in & turned both to secure them. Bottom-line: A good fixture for a great price, if you're prepared for a few installation complications.

Perfect
I have an oddly shaped bathroom with slanted ceilings on 3 out of the 4 walls. My light is located in a sort of odd area. Because of this I needed to order some form of track lighting that I was able to adjust the lights on. I chose this light because the lights could be angled and rotated and because size wise it would fit where I needed it. Also the price point was great. It is exactly as described, great quality.

track lighting
It is as advertised, however it is a quarter of the size I was expecting. I did hold up to ceiling but the size difference was too noticeable to use. It was well made just the wrong size.

Bright.
This lighting went above my bathroom mirror and provides plenty of light. Easy to put up and looks great. The only downside is that I wish it was a bit bigger but that's just a preference. I would recommend.
