Fire Pit Cooking Necessity!
This fire grill is great. The size of the grill really allows the outdoor cook to prepare a variety of items as one time. We had our beans on the side while our hot dogs and burgers cooked in the center. We were able to get the fire hot and place the grill on four bricks to allow for the heat we needed. We removed the bricks later in the meal and foil wrapped ice cream cones filled with marshmallows, chocolate and bananas for our dessert. Clean up was a breeze with a wipe down. We did put a spray of cooking oil on the surface before storing. We will be using it all summer and you should too!!!

Thin metal
For $30, I think you get what you pay for. Frame is pretty flimsy so if you mount it on any surface that isn't flat, be prepared for the metal to heat up and bend. Paint comes off after the first use over a fire. Does its job so I'm satisfied. I wouldn't pay the full $60 that they're putting it up for right now though.

Perfect for state camp ground fire pits!
I bought this primarily to go over the fire pit at state campgrounds since they're always so large. Finding a circular grate at 34" or so is not cheap. I just finished using this for our last camping trip of the season and I'm really impressed. We tossed it over the fire pit and it fit perfectly with no overhang. Primarily we used the legs, but a few times we also retracted the legs and just plopped it right on top of the fire pit as well. I cooked some peppers and onions directly on the grate as well as items wrapped in tin foil (reheated). We also used it as a stove top for our cast iron skillets. We had two 12 inch cast iron skillets sitting on either side and it held up really well. I did notice a bit of a dip that formed after a few days, but it still seems pretty solid, and a friend who has a similar grate (but one that attaches to a pole) said that it's pretty normal for that to happen. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this grill.

Awesome grill for the price
This grill is very convenient as a temporary grilling set up. I really like the quality of it, specially for the price. I wish the legs were a little bit shorter since I normally need to raise the surface where I place the coals so I can get the temperature hot enough. The size is perfect since it can accommodate food for a large group, but it is still small and light enough to be easily transportable.

Sturdy cooking grate
We love to cook over a campfire, so now we have lots more options besides hotdogs on a stick. Our first try was placing a cast iron skillet over the fire with hamburger patties plus a teakettle so we could make tea. It worked so well. Now we are looking for other ideas for cooking, as we expect this grate to last us a long, long time.

Sturdy enough for a lobster pot
We built a round fire pit in our yard, mostly for keeping warm on cool nights but also for cooking. After spending a vacation in Maine, we discovered that there are fewer things better than cooking boiled lobster over an open fire. If we wanted to recreate that experience, that meant we needed more than a simple grill that could support hamburgers and other lightweight items - we needed something that could support a pot with gallons of water and 3 or 4 lobsters. Everything I had found up until this purchase cost hundreds of dollars so when I found this grill, I was quite excited. It's designed to stand on it's own over a campfire using the foldable legs, but we lay it down across the stone fire pit with the legs closed - they add a bit of extra strength while in that position. It easily holds a lobster pot and helps us relive our Maine vacation whenever we want.

Perfect for cooking over charcoal!
We use this for cooking over our fire pit at our house and also plan to take it along camping. We make slow roasted barbecue chicken over charcoal with this and it's the perfect size for about 10 chicken halves. We've also used it to cook with our heavy cast iron skillets and it holds them with no issues! The adjustable legs are a great feature for lowering the rack closer to the coals if needed. Overall a great purchase!

Great value for your money and very sturdy!
Great over the fire grill. Perfect fit and fun way to have dinner. We left the legs folded up when we put it over the pit. We also used a grill mat for easier clean up. Great quality, sturdy and highly recommended! You can load up as much food as you can fit on it and it will not bend. The price was great too!

Large grill
Haven't used it yet,but very well made. Bigger than I expected but it will work well for my needs. Plenty of room for cookware or just for roasting food directly.

Cool idea for a firepit but lacked some quality
This item rusted after the first use and warped quite quickly after first use . Needed to be made of thicker gauge of fencing for surface .
