Best water bottle ever

We love these water bottles. We got them for our bikes but we use them everyday. They go everywhere with us. It’s not too bulky or heavy or clanging around bc it’s metal. It’s squishy so it can fit in places easier and in the kids backpacks. AND IT HAS THE SPOUT COVER!! I couldn’t find another bottle with a spout cover. We have one of each color so we do t get them mixed up bc I’m telling you we carry these around like our phones. I would buy more if they had different designs or more colors.

CamelBak Podium Bike Bottle: Beat the Dirt!

I've taken up cycling for recreation fairly recently and I'm loving it! Here are my 2 cents on this Podium insulated bottle by CamelBak: Pros ???????????? - Dirt-Proof: This was the selling point for me. I've tried different bottles in the past, including one from Schwinn (see photos ????) This one worked the best at keeping (most) dust away from the drinking spout ???? - Locking Function: No Spills, No Squirts and No Surprises! - Overall, really good fit and finish. Cons ???????????? - Insulation: It's a good idea on paper but in reality it has limited functionality. That's a nice way of saying, it doesn't really work! - A little pricy. My Recommendation ???? If you enjoy riding your bike and are tired of eating dirt, this bottle is for you! This bottle has served me very well. If anything, I need another bottle cage and second bottle! Can't wait for the next time it goes on sale! Note on Cleaning ???????????? I've seen one review that shows this bottle can get moldy. That was a little concerning to me but I rinse mine with warm water and dish soap after each ride and let it air dry on a rack. Honestly, I haven't experienced any mold or smell in my bottle. Take that for what it's worth! Hope my short review has helped you make a more informed buying decision ????????✌️ ⚠️ Quick Update (04/19/2023) ⚠️ Got my second bottle cage put on and added a second podium bottle (non insulated) for additional hydration ???? Good value for money

Overall pretty happy with my insulated bike bottles. They do seem to keep water cooler for longer compared to the uninsulated gym shaker bottles I tried carrying initially on my bike. 40 minutes on a hot day outdoors would be plenty to heat up the water in my uninsulated bottle to an uncomfortable temperature---not hot hot, but definitely no longer cool. The water would be warm. I haven't run in to that issue since I got these insulated bottles. I'm still testing them, and it's always possible that on a 100-deg day 40 minutes will be enough to make the water warm, but it doesn't seem likely. My bigger question now is whether the water will stay cool for 90 minutes? 2 hours? That's my expectation because 40 minutes isn't that much (it just happens to be the measure I'm familiar with for comparison). Also wondering how long the bottles will keep without building up odor. I suspect that if I use them as protein shaker bottles on the trail they will start to smell. This will be a flag to me. Regardless, for now, these insulated bottles seem fine for the $15 I paid for them.

Regular CamelBak Podium with an extra rubber cap

Camelbak Podium bottles are moderately well insulated, such that if you put a fair amount of ice in your bottle, it will remain pretty cold for much longer than a non-insulated bottle. Don't expect miracles; if you're out in 100 degree weather, ice won't last much more than an hour... but it's clearly better than the non-insulated ones. All camelback Podium models have a nice valve that has a twist switch that closes them or leaves it open for you to squeeze. This works well and the closed is appears pretty close to leak proof. The Dirt series includes an extra rubber cover for the top that you can use to keep the nipple clean or remove and use like a normal "road" bottle.

Best water bottle

I bring this everywhere. Biking, hiking, traveling by car, traveling by air, etc. It fits my bike water bottle rack, and also my backpack pocket. No leak. The dust cover is also nice when biking or hiking. Lost one so I bought another. If I lose another one, will probably buy one more.

Great water bottle that keeps the dirt out.

These bottles are durable, well made and the rubber boot keeps the dirt off the spout. Does not keep water cold for as long as I'd hoped, but decent.

Doesn't keep things cold "twice" as long, as advertised

Overall, it's nice leak proof water bottle and the rubber dust cap is nice to keep dirt and dust out when riding. It also has a twist lever to keep water from coming out, but it is pretty stiff and not one-handed friendly while riding. Between the rubber dust cover and the design, it doesn't seem to leak with that lever set to open, so you can just pop the rubber cap and squeeze to drink. The "insulation" doesn't do much to keep things colder longer, so don't buy strictly on that premise, which I mainly did, due to hotter temps where I may be riding. I also wanted some type of dust/dirt cover, which it does have and seems to work well so far. The diameter is 9 1/4" for those wondering if it will fit in their cage.

Very high quality

As you'd expect from Camelbak, this is well made and well designed. I only use these bottles now on my cycles. This is insulated, so keeps drinks cool for a while (without too much extra bulk), there is a highly quality cleanable and replaceable valve, and the rubberised cover keeps dirt and dust out of the mouthpiece. Highly recommended.

Great product, great value.

As you'd expect from Camelbak, a well designed and well made bottle. I especially like the mudguard over the drinking spout. Nice firm but easily switched spout to close and open even with gloves on. Also insulated so in cold weather I can put warm liquid in it, in warm weather cold liquid. Robust plastic, will take bumps and scratches over many years I'm sure. Lastly, great price which beats even the local shops in their sales. Highly recommended.

Not bad overall

The bottle itself is high quality and looks great. It's definitely not black as shown in the pictures, but the grey isn't bad looking. It does have the minor annoyance of making a hissing sound every time you drink from it. It wouldn't be an issue if you're drinking on the bike, but if you are like me and drink in quiet areas such as the library, it becomes quite loud. The water doesn't stay much cooler than the standard plastic bottle, but I'll have to test it further. And the cap is quite flimsy and feels like a cheap add-on, however, it does the job. Overall, a reasonably good product if you're willing to spend a bit more than the basic bottle.
