Bit Large but excellent high quality socks

These run a bit large so you might want to size down and won't stay up but they're perfect for my needs. They use a really heavy cotton, and I wear them around my house. Perfect for cold winter weather!

Excellent socks

My husband has a heart condition and Parkinson’s. These socks are easy to get on, don’t have elastic at the top (tight tops increase swelling), and are comfortable. They don’t sag, and fairly easy to slide into shoes.

These are AMAZING.

I ordered the Amazon Aware Unisex Adults' Crew Socks, Pack of 3 in a size Medium, which is the smallest size. I am a female and I wear women's size 7.5-8 shoes. These socks fit me perfectly, and are my new favourites. I generally wear socks with sandals around the house and these have quickly become my "go-to" house socks. I love to wear them folded over since I prefer shorter socks, and they stay in place perfectly. Since my original order, I have come back and purchased additional pairs in other colours, so I know that the quality I received is not specific to one colourway, but is consistent across the board. I'm surprised by some of the other reviews, because I love these so much. Then again, I am not reviewing a sock that is still in the package, but have instead taken the time to wear and wash these over and over for several months, before writing my review. These socks are a nice mid weight and I find them soft and temperature-regulating. They fit perfectly without feeling too tight around the leg. I have machine washed and dried them many many times now, and I keep them folded together in my drawers by stacking one sock on top of its partner, and then just folding it over and placing them in the drawer. I'm not sure how people are experiencing bagging out of the elastic, unless they are folding the type of way where they place the socks together and stretch one side of the top over the other sock to hold them together in a ball. (Don't do this! It ruins all kinds of socks and their elastic contained within!) Overall, I have to say that I really love these and I definitely recommend them. I plan to buy even more pairs, and get rid of other socks, since these are the only kind I seem to like wearing these days. I'd definitely recommend these socks.

Slightly rough textured basic crew socks

I was curious to try yet another of Amazon's spin-off brands, this one is Amazon Aware. Generally when they want to put their name on a logo, it's to compete in a market where they might be able to come in at a lower price point that the usual companies making that thing. You can see from the picture that the brown cardboard collar holding the socks together is bargain-basement, and with old scotch tap and no real info on the collar, this is not a giftable primo product. I tried to show in the other picture both the kind of floppy elasticity of the top part of the sock, and the somewhat wider-weave rough texture. Some of how you feel about the texture of the socks is about what you're used to... my favorites are still the gold toe brand, which have a tighter weave and are far softer than these, but also grip the leg a little bit tighter. Even new, these socks slide down the leg a little bit after walking around for awhile. They actually remind me of socks I've gotten at Ross dress-for-less... where the leg part of the socks eventually loses its elasticity and gets 'floppy'... So, if these aren't the greatest, why are they $6 a pair? I can only figure it's this... ORGANIC cotton, RECYCLED polyester... and this "Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton and certified carbon neutral by ClimatePartner." So, this leads me to believe that the Amazon AWARE brand promotes an awareness of environmental concerns... that this is a "green" brand venture. And sure enough, "organic cotton" crew socks searched here return prices between $6 and $15 per pair. If these socks hold up over time with moderate use and frequent washes, I might come back and pick up some more (I like the color varieties), and keep an eye out for more "Aware" products. If this sock style and the organic label is for you, pick yourself up a pack!

Comfy but a little loose

This is the 2nd Amazon Aware apparel I’ve tried, the first being a rather comfy T-shirt. The socks are made with organic and partially recycled materials. They don’t feel any worse for containing recycled fibers. They’re soft and comfy but a little on the loose side. The black and grey are nice in this set but the cream is an odd inclusion. It occurred to me after wearing them all several times now that they look and feel like old socks. Which is kind of a compliment; they feel nice and comfy and familiar. But I don’t think they look very smart and they bag up / stretch when trying to wear tight fitting shoes or boots. I think they are decent and worth 4 stars but at this price I expected slightly higher build quality. As nighttime lounge socks or to wear in bed, they’re perfect though!

Fits a size 12, loose around top band

These fit my size 12 foot comfortably. The socks are a nice weight and thickness. These socks are loose around the top. They do not stay up neatly. They sort of slouch a bit. I have been wearing these with boots and the looser top band does not affect comfort inside my boots. Wash well.

Good Basic Socks

Three pack of lightweight breathable socks. Socks have a good variety of colors in the set- you get three. Material and fabric are very comfortable amd they're perfect for lounging around the house or wearing out. The feet are comfortable all day wearing these. They also conform nicely around the foot. I'd recommend them for the variety of colors and the quality.

Not Tight Enough

These are basic socks, they have a decent thickness and feel okay on foot, but don’t go far enough up the leg and they lack enough elastic material to keep them on your leg and constantly slide down so you have to keep pulling them up, only for them to slide straight back down. The range of colour combinations isn’t that great either, as none of the options contain all low visibility colours (there’s always one lighter colour with every combination). Overall, I appreciate the sustainability pledges but these are not a great pair of socks.

Lovely, soft, climate friendly socks

These 'Amazon Aware' branded socks are supplied as a pack of three. There are various colour combinations available but all but one of them contain one 'white/cream' pair. They seem well made and they are mostly cotton (87%). They are soft and comfortable and they fit well. They are made in Pakistan and the washing instructions suggest 30 degrees and delicate. I have not had to wash them yet and so I cannot comment on how that would turn out but these specifications are similar to other socks I have that wash well. They are so nice to wear and do not winkle or cause rubbing. One pair has survived the daily 3 mile walk and so these do not seem like the kind if socks that will easily develop holes. They are not overly expensive, especially considering their green credentials and compare well to the price of similar socks from leading high street brands. I like them and I would buy more of them. They are a bit thicker than some cotton socks and so can bridge the gap between winter and summer weight socks. They may be worn straight or with the tops folded down. They do not constrict or leave pressure marks. They are just right for everyday use or for extra comfort on longer hikes. These socks are great and a really solid buy.

Comfy but not as thick as I envisaged

You get three pairs of socks in this pack. Currently, a pack costs £15.49, so that just over £5 for a pair. I would say that this is pretty priced for a packet of three socks. These socks are marketed as planet friendly and thus, they are made with organic cotton and are certified as carbon neutral. These socks are sold in Amazon’s ‘Amazon Aware’ store - A place where all of the products have a climate friendly pledge. Everything that claims to be climate friendly these days seems to have a premium attached to the cost. I suspect that this is why the socks are so expensive. These are pretty comy socks. They feel soft and have a slight stretch to them (that will be the elastane in them), to stop them slipping down on your feet. they are stretchy enough to hold themselves in position on the feet. The colours are okay. They are pretty neutral colours. If you like a loud and fun sock, then these aren’t for you. This is a sock designed to do it’s job and not to announce its presence too much! I take a size 10.5 to 11. I got the large size and they fit absolutely fine. No worries.
