Soft and Warm but Runs Small

I initially got these socks for my fiance, but I've ended up mostly wearing them because they run small. I have small feet. I usually wear a small and my shoe size is 6 in men's, so I expected these to be loose on me. They fit me pretty well, so I'd recommend going a size up on these, or two if you don't like snug fitting socks. They cinch in the middle, which does keep your feet very warm, but they are definitely made to be tight. They've been wonderful for the cold weather. We like to go on hikes and I didn't want to cold to stop us, and I'm happy that these kept my feet toasty but not sweaty. They're well made and the wool blend is nice quality and not at all itchy. I am very sensitive to course textures so I'm pleased that these are so soft. Really happy with these, and will probably end up ordering a larger size for my fiance lol. My only complaint is the sizing, so order a size up and they're great!

Hard to Pull On

For YEARS I have worn NOTHING but women's Merrell crew socks. size Small for my 6.5 size foot. Tried the unisex Small-Medium socks and expected them to be a bit loose. They are so tight to get one that I fight to get them over my heels. They feel fine once I get them on. However, it shouldn't be that hard to pull on a pair of sock!

Soft, Not Scratchy

My husband loves these socks. His feet are always cold. These help! The socks are soft, not scratchy, like they look. Definitely need to get a few more pairs in other colors.

Nice quality socks but too small around calves!

TLDR: Nice quality socks but too small around calves! I got these for myself but ended up giving them to my guy friend who is taller than me and has smaller legs than me. I was a bit disappointed bc I have small legs and am tall myself but these just were way too tight on my calves for comfort! I couldn’t even pull them up all the way. They fit him well though which is awesome bc they are nice socks, good quality and material! So I’m happy someone can use them and enjoy them :) just remember before buying that they are definitely for taller, small calves/legs body type only! There’s not stretch with this ????

Pretty good casual dress sock

Firstly, as far as SIZING: I wear an 8 and ½ Men's shoe and the "Small-Medium" size fits me perfectly, I mean like so perfectly that I'm pretty confident this sock would be too small on anyone who wears greater than a 9 US Men's. I'm not marking the socks down for this, but it's a bit ridiculous for there NOT to be a size chart on the product page pictures, or at least in the body of the product information. So now at least you have a little information to go on, if you decide to buy a pair of these Merrells. These socks fit my normal sized legs comfortably. They feel good on my feet. With wintertime wool slippers on over these socks (which are averagely thick), my feet stayed warm doing stuff at home for an evening, with my thermostat at 65. They were flawless out of the package, and they survived my first laundry load well (I don't put ANY nicer socks in my dryer; the only socks I throw into the dryer are basic white athletic cotton/poly crew socks). They are only 5% wool and 7% cotton, so the other 88 percent is synthetic material. "Wool blend" is thus a bit deceiving, as far as I'm concerned, but at least those details ARE provided by the seller, which is helpful. I wouldn't call them "Great," but they are pretty good, and I'd consider them a decent value on SALE. At the 14 dollar price point I'm not so sure, when you can get Made in US, warmer, nicer, greater percentage wool (and higher quality Merino wool, to boot) socks in the 20-23 dollar range. But on sale this is a good value & nice quality crew sock that you should be pleased with, assuming you can figure out what size to purchase.

Very comfortable

Love my Merrell shoes and recently tried some of their socks (that I like a lot), so jumped at the chance to try more! These are a really nice deep red color, with a flecked finish that looks rustic / comfy and warm right out the packaging. Fit is about what I’d expect.. maybe run a little small. Ordered the Medium/Large.. I wear size 9 shoes / boots and these are snug, comfortable but if I had thicker legs / calves and bigger feet.. not sure how comfy they’d be. I’m HWP.. probably thinner than average in the US. The material is soft and warm but aesthetically stated to pill very noticeably after the first couple washes and wears. They’re not meant to look pretty but I feel like they might not last as long if they pill so fast..? So overall I give them 4 stars, mainly from concern over longevity and aesthetics that I shouldn’t feel at this price point. But I love wearing them. My feet stay comfortable all day.

Great - if you don't have large calves

My husband has been wearing these when he goes on walks around the neighborhood and is mostly happy with them. They are pretty tight and you need small calves for them to be comfortable. I tried them and they were way too tight for me, but my calves are larger than average. He just doesn’t pull them up all the way and they work for him. They appear to be very good quality, with just the right amount of thickness for long walks or hikes, but not bulky. There’s a flat seam on the toe, which hasn’t bothered him. These are black, with tiny white, red and blue specks sprinkled all over. I would recommend these to someone with skinny legs.
