Great socks! They work well. Nothing fancy. They are not brand but I needed something cheap since I am a college student!. Can't beat that with a baseball bat. I am not going to get into specifics or nag. They are what they are. Socks! Rating mostly on price and quantity. Great bang for your buck! Edit August, 2016: (Specifics) They do have an orange logo in the back which people have been complaining about, but honestly if you take a look at the picture you can clearly see an orange logo. I really don't know what people's problem is. It isn't a bad logo and I think it gives the sock a nice athletic touch, but if you want an "all black sock" then please take your negative and useless ratings somewhere else. Not the seller's fault that people didn't take a second to review the item first. WARNING: If you want a thinner sock than please look elsewhere. These pairs are a bit heftier which I like because I have had them for more than a year and have no holes or other problems, but these are not your knit socks to wear with fancy shoes. Edit (continue): I am no longer a college student but I just bought another two sets, one in Large and one in XL because I really like the materials and quality. A lot of people are really picky on here but these have lasted me. I still use the pairs I bought over a year ago. On the size: I wear a 9 1/1-10 and the large fit like a crew sock. for me. The XL fit between a crew and calf sock. I like this fit because they look sporty when I wear shorts and provide a wider range of protection. Almost like hiking socks. Basically look at the picture on the description. Hopes this helps! Last thing which I think compliments this experience overall! I like that these socks don't constraint blood flow to my legs, ankles, or any other part like many other socks on Amazon or so I hear. Trust me when I say that I don't have chicken legs and need room and these stretch comfortably the entire day and I do not have marks at the end of day especially with the XL. I am not a person who received this item for free in exchange for a review. I just really, really like these socks. It ticks me that a lot of people cry and give bad reviews when they didn't even take the time to briefly review the item before shopping. I think this item deserves an honest review. This item worked for me and it may or may not for others. Happy shopping folks!

Best quality

I have always had a problem with wearing holes in my socks. They would typically last about six months. This brand is the absolute best. I have not worn out a pair yet. Shockingly good. Highly recommend

Check the fit when they arrive.

I had ordered these socks before in gray and large size. They fit, but were always just a little on the tight side until worn enough that they would eventually stretch enough to be very comfortable. So this time when I ordered, I decided to order the XL size so I wouldn't have to wait for them to stretch. They came, and I threw them in my sock drawer, and didn't actually get a chance to wear them until over a month later. When I did, I was amazed that they were much tighter(smaller) than the L size I had ordered in gray before, and could barely get them on, and when I did, I couldn't wait to get them off since they were leaving deep indentations in my leg where the elastic top was. Unfortunately I was past the return window, so will not be able to return them. Won't order again.

Awesome quality and price.

I love these socks!! I bought them from a local outfitter 1 year ago. They held up perfectly, and remain BLACK, and elastic. I searched online and here they are. I'm a size 12 wide, with larger calves than average. The Large size was almost too small for me. I went with XL, and am so happy with these socks, I'm writing this. XL for me! But if you have normal to narrow calves, might want a size L. Awesome quality and price. (UPDATE, dropped from five stars to 2. Ones received in 2019 are too tight around ankle/calves. Logo was orange, and were great. Logo now is grey, and they are way too tight! Package said XL. Not sure why it changed. I hope they loosen up.

Great socks. Ordered more!

Ordered these for my husband to wear under his work boots. They seemed a little small but he loved them. They aren't too high either and the orange symbol on the top of the sock is a nice touch. The quality was great for the price. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. But he really liked them so I went back on to this amazing site and ordered 2 more packs in a bigger size. He is very happy with this purchase and we will probably be purchasing more in the future. UPDATE: Like another reviewer said, the socks displayed in the picture are different than what I ordered. light weight

were posted as work socks... not truly good for that but they are ok for dress... very well made but too light weight for work.. I do not do sports but I do work in my shoes . I will keep them for dress

I'm a guy with size 13 boots on all day every day. I work in the field and all of my socks take a beating. So far I've bought two packages of these - I was so pleased I threw out most of my other black socks. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a durable, reasonably priced sock.
