Almost perfect

I'm actually really pleased with this costume. It's soft, not terribly sheer (as flimsy costumes tend to be, I have found no loose threads, and my daughter loves it. My daughter is between a size 10 and size 12, so I ordered the Large. It's a bit snug in the chest, but the perfect length. The apron, as everyone else has noted, is huge. I will have to take each shoulder strap in at least 3 inches. My daughter wants to go to Halloween as the Alice who slay the Jabberwocky. Originally, our intent was to get a chestplate to go over the dress (along with a vorpal sword and a severed dragon head for a candy bucket), but it's so lovely with the well made apron and we'll executed collar, that rather than cover it in armor we may just splatter it with blood and let the sword and head tell the tale. If the dress were a bit bigger in the torso so that it actually fit like a 10/12 and the apron didn't need alteration, this would have been an out of the ballpark 5 stars. And I don't give perfect scores lightly. I really wanted to with this one though.

Perfect for my daughter!

My daughter is a very tall 7 year old and finding a costume to fit her is nearly impossible! All the children's costumes are too small (or very expensive). All the adult costumes are inappropriate. (Which I find extremely annoying, not *everyone* wants to be 'sexy'-but that's another post). This was perfect. We were going to the "Rock you Disneyside" 24 hour party and we both could wear costumes. She had grown out of all hers and I had found the perfect one for me. So, when I found this, I was very excited for her. I purchased it and got it two hours before we left (phew!!!). We tried it on there and it fit perfect. My only suggestion is that they need another velcro on it because it gapes. Luckily, a kind guest in line had a safety pin and we were good to go! More than once, kids yelled "Alice" and pointed to her at Disneyland, which made her day! (We, of course, were very clear that we were not Disney cast members). Disney Cast members all called her Alice all day long. When we met the "real" Alice at one point at Disney, I was impressed at how alike they looked and realized why people thought my daughter was Alice. Thank you, California Costumes, for helping make our Disney trip special!

The length was perfect hitting at the knee

Large fit my 5'4" daughter who is very petite. She usually wears a jr size 0/1 and a small top. The length was perfect hitting at the knee. The only issue was the straps for the apron are long and saggy. We had to tie the apron strings around the straps for a better fit. It is very thin as it is a costume. Overall she was pleased and it fit well. I do suggest using the sizing chart. It is pretty accurate, but also take into consideration what clothing will be worn under it when choosing a size

Cute, but some problems

I ordered the large for my 5'1", 95 lb. daughter. She looks darling. The dress hits her just below the knee and is fitted, but not tight. Problems: What they are calling a lace petticoat is just the lace trim that you see...no petticoat to help poof out the skirt or line the dress, which is sheer and puckers open at the back with one velcro closure and a tie. It IS just a costume, but they shouldn't have called it a petticoat. She will have to wear something underneath the costume--another purchase (sigh). The shoulder straps of the apron are out of proportion to the rest of the apron. If you want the apron to tuck under the collar like the picture, you would have to tuck or trim the apron straps several inches, in my estimation.

Great costume!

This was the perfect Alice in Wonderland costume! My 12 year old daughter wore it, it was a tiny bit too small, but she just wore a tank top under it. The back has two velcro patches so it didn’t matter that much. The quality was just fine for a 1 time use costume. Loved it! (Forgot to get a full length picture of just her!)

My daughter loved her dress

My daughter loved her dress, but like a lot of others the too long apron strings are a bit of a hassle. I did pin them but in all reality they should be 2-3 inches shorter. The size large fit my 11 year , 5 foot 1 in daughter perfectly. was knee length. I though quality was good but should have another velcro closure at the bottom !

Perfect for My little Alice.

Daughter loved it. Well made. Wore it for her unbirthday party. Blue is darker than in picture but looked great. Large was a bit too large for my daughter who is 8 and typically wears a large for comfort. Only bad is the closure in back. Otherwise it's fantastic.

Last minute world book day dress up needed very happy child, means very happy mother. No complaints came in time and looks just like the picture. Nothing fancy but did the job.

Good costume

True to size and beautiful. Blue dress is see-through though. Apron fabric is heavier than expected, and that is a good thing!

Meh

So this little costume is exactly what you would anticipate buying from walmart, icky synthetic thin fabric and slightly ill-fitting but would do in a pinch for your daughter's Alice in Wonderland costume. It was quite small fitting, we tried both a medium and a large on a thin 12-year-old and neither really worked. I think it's a terrible value as well, for the quality is cheap cheap but that is not really what you pay. I ended up purchasing (here on amazon) a girl's blue tulle party dress and a white frilled apron and then added my own accessories and it looked a million times better than this sort of pre-made costume business.
