Great price and quality.
I must have gone through thousands of photos and specs on different small filing cabinets like this one. I was looking for something that would fit under my home computer desk (a Versa Table, "Versa Center 72 inch" model). This one turned out to be perfect. And it came in at about half the price of similar models out there. There were some key features I was looking for. One was that it had to have 3 drawers. I initially thought I wanted one large height drawer on the bottom, one medium, and one small. This one has one large and two small. When I got it and started filling it up at home, it turned out that I liked having two small drawers instead of one of them being a medium sized one. It worked out pretty well. It also had to have wheels. You think you'll never need the wheels, and it's true you can probably get along fine without them. But, having wheels makes it easier to pull the cabinet out from under your desk so that you can get in there and do stuff. You need to do that sometimes, especially if you've got cables and things to worry about back there. As others noted, the 5th wheel is attached to the lower pull-out drawer itself. So you pull it out, and the wheel comes along with it. That keeps the cabinet from tipping over. That was a great idea, because I've had filing cabinets in the past that have tipped over because of an overloaded drawer. The wheel doesn't add much resistance, either, so it's easy to pull out, even on thick carpets like I have. Another selling point for me was the fact that this product doesn't have the usual metal "lip" along the top and bottom edges. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's kind of like taking sheet metal and folding it over for an inch all along the top edge. That's how a lot of metal filing cabinets are designed. I don't know what it is about that, but I just don't like it. And they tend to be the first thing to rust out if you've ever seen old metal filing cabinets. Anyway, very happy this cabinet does not suffer from this. Next, the drawer handles on this product are made of plastic and look good. You might like metal handles, but I don't. Metal handles that are built-in and part of the drawer itself just look really cold and impersonal to me. It's the sort of thing you would expect to find in an old office complex or a garage. You especially don't want that in your home office. The plastic handles on this product are oval shaped and smooth. I really like it. It's one of the more visually appealing aspects of this cabinet. On the top of the cabinet is an added perk. The very top surface is made of plastic that has one centimeter high walls around its perimeter. That's actually super useful. This allows you to tuck the cabinet under your desk and use it as another desk top to store things like frequently used items (staplers, pens, paper, clipboards, paper clips, CD's, etc.). You don't have to worry about stuff falling off, because of walls around the perimeter. And because it's tucked under your desk, it hides the clutter. Great idea! That's another reason why I preferred having a small sized middle drawer instead of having a medium or large sized middle drawer. Having a larger middle drawer would mean that the cabinet would have to be taller. And that would give you less (or no) space between to the top of the filing cabinet and the bottom of your desk. In other words, you wouldn't be able to use that convenient top surface at all in that case. It's like getting a 4th drawer for free, basically. On the inside of the large drawer, there is a divider that they included. You can put the divider anywhere you want inside of that drawer (or remove it totally). The divider lets you create two sections inside of the big drawer. That's pretty useful. I have some regular hanging files I want to keep in the first section, and in the second section I just keep miscellaneous items that I toss in. On the inside of the two smaller drawers, there are no dividers. But you can easily add third party drawer dividers to these drawers if you want. The cabinet does come with a small plastic tray that sits on top of any of the drawers, but you probably want to use the top drawer for that. The tray lets you store tiny things like pens, paper clips, erasers, keys, etc. It doesn't interfere with placing stuff underneath it either. And you can still close the drawer when you use it. It's a very nice touch. There are even two notches in the front of the drawer that you can snap the small tray into, and it keeps it in place. But you can place the tray as far back in the drawer as you want and easily remove it to get at what's underneath. It's very useful! The cabinet comes already put together, except for the wheels. You can leave the wheels off, or you can put them on yourself. Each wheel just requires one screw to install. Takes just a few minutes to put them on. Keep in mind that two of the wheels are "locking", and so those you probably want to put on the back. But I just left them in the unlocked position so that I could roll the cabinet out whenever I wanted. One other thing I'd like to mention is the packaging and the condition of the cabinet when I got it. It came in some of the best packaging I've ever seen! It was inside of two big boxes. And then on the outside of that were thick cardboard corner braces. And then around that was a third box. I rarely see that level of protection. There weren't any dents or scratches on the one I received (by UPS no less). Awesome packaging job. Oh, and one other perk for me was that the wheels lined up perfectly for my Versa Tables "Versa Center" desk. That desk is unique in that it has a solid bar that goes across the floor for added stability. The bar is set in from the wall about 6 or so inches. It was just enough space for the back wheels of the cabinet to fit into. And by coincidence, it happens to be the same exact height as the wheels. So the desk's bar didn't interfere with it at all. Obviously, if you don't have a desk like this, you probably don't care about this particular point. Well, I think that covers it. I'm very happy with this cabinet. Looks good. Great price. Very sturdy and useful. No dents or scrapes during shipping. Great find! Hope that helps.

Just what I was looking for!
I was skeptical about ordering this online, concerned that it would arrive and I'd hate it. Nothing could be further from the truth, I love this mini file cabinet. A lot of attention to detail went into the designing of it. It's well made, quite sturdy, and I get the feeling it will last a long, long time. All I had to do when it arrived was open up the box, slide it out, flip it over, screw the wheels on and flip it right side up and Voila! I'm not physically strong by any means, and I had no trouble or complaints setting it precisely where I wanted. Before I go into why I love this product, I want to talk a little about the packaging. There were actually 3 boxes to open before getting to the cabinet. The cardboard was by far some of the sturdiest I've ever seen. Even empty, these boxes are downright heavy! But that wasn't enough to protect one of the edges from receiving a dent when a careless delivery man dropped it on the edge of a stair. It turned out to be on the back side. It doesn't show, so I'm not worried about it. I left a review with the company, remarking that they really need to come up with something better... heavy duty bubble wrap would have been great. Now for the fun stuff.. The cabinet stands 20.5 inches tall without the wheels, and 22.5 inches with them. It functions either way, although it is much more convenient with the wheels. Two of the wheels have a locking mechanism to prevent the cabinet from moving, they release with a simple click. The inner dimensions of top 2 drawers are 12.5 inches across, 17 inches long, 2 inches deep. A ream of paper rests neatly inside with enough room to lay another ream beside it. There is a removable tray that firmly rests in tracks on the top edge of either drawer. This tray can be slid toward the back, or snapped securely into the very front via 2 little tabs. You could leave it in the middle if you wanted: it won't interfere with the drawer closing, it doesn't move unless you move it yourself. It's compartmentalized, perfect for small items like pens, paper clips, elastics, etc. The cabinet has a lock on the top right corner which locks all 3 drawers. Great for general privacy, although a determined thief would be able to pry it open. Two keys are provided. Update, November 2015: I've learned that if the bottom 1 or 2 drawers are not shut completely you can lock the top and those drawers will not be locked. They stay open by a mere 1/4 inch, but it's convenient if you only need the top 1 or 2 drawers locked. I added a photo showing the side view with only the top drawer locked. The casters / wheels are sturdy, they pivot and move easily over medium thickness carpet. The extra wheel under the bottom drawer makes it so that it takes almost no effort to open it: it glides out easily. The tracks are smooth: one little tug and the drawers open without hesitation. Inside the bottom drawer, the tracks are there for hanging file-type folders, with about .75 inch or so clearance over the top, so tabs don't get squished when you open and close the drawer. (See photos) There is a semi-permanent divider -a hard plastic insert- that snaps in wherever you want to place it: there are 8 sets of slots for it to snap into, spaced out at about 2 inch intervals, so you can custom fit the drawer into 2 sections. There are slots on the bottom of the drawer as well as the top, so the divider stays put. The handles are smooth, rounded and comfortable to grip. They do not protrude, they are completely recessed, giving this cabinet a sleek, pleasing, attractive look. The corners and edges of this cabinet are smooth, slightly rounded, so if you accidentally bump into it, it will not break skin. (The Mom in me notices these things.) While the cabinet is a smooth metal, the top is not: its a graded surface, feels much like thick corduroy. There is a .25 inch high, half inch wide lip around the edges, so pens won't roll off if placed there. And... if you spill your coffee on it, it's all contained on top. (It'd be a tough mess to clean between the ridges, but much better than having to clean the coffee from inside your files) There's plenty of real estate on the surface: at 15.75" x 22" it's perfect for placing a printer or fax machine. The dimension is a tad smaller inside the raised, sloped lip: it measures a clean 14x20 inches with a fraction to spare. I have my printer on top, which measures 14.5 inches wide - the feet of the printer were just barely on the edges of the raised lip, so it wouldn't rest flat. I found a double thick slab of cardboard and placed it underneath, which raised up the printer enough so that the feet stay put on the lip, with just a smidgen left on either side. It's perfect! I'm so happy! I did a lot of searching before finding this... I needed the surface to fit my printer. Most file cabinets are only 14.25 inches wide, which wouldn't do. I really lucked out with this one, it's just what I was looking for!

You get what you pay for
This is the 2nd one (replacement for 1st) as the 1st one delivered the top drawer was jammed & would not open. What I have learned: 1) It will work but you have to be gentle to it 2) If a filing cabinet requires a caster on the front bottom drawer to open, it's a light a weight cabinet 3) It's flimsy sheet metal construction so see No 1. above 4) The drawers lift up when you pull them out to far, don't pull them out to far 5) The drawers do not align when closed, slightly skewed. To use the lock you have to learn to shut the drawers skewed closed on the lock side. Don't give up...you'll get it. I believe in you! 6) You likely should spend at least 2X $'s (min) to get what you think you are getting 7) Look at it as temporary until you push it to hard and bend a drawer and then you go buy the one you should have bought in the first place. 8) Salvation Army/Goodwill takes donations. I pretty sure they will take this...pretty sure. Okay maybe 50/50 Don't forget to give me a thumbs up on UN-social media. Have a great 30 seconds!

DAMAGED ITEM
replacement wasn't available - returned the item and ordered another at a higher cost. The downside is getting this large item to a Canada post.
