Works good after modifications...
Tool was correct size for rear axle spindle nuts on my 2004 Silverado 3500 dually, but the tabs that engage with the nut were too large, so I had to grind them down some.

Needs modifications to work properly
I was able to get it to work but I had to file down the edges of the teeth. Seems to pretty common when you buy Chinese tools. Close but not perfect. Socket is more then heavy enough for my application.

Total time saver
The media could not be loaded. I wasted 2 hours heating and beating on the left side spindle and it didn't move. Used this tool and with two hits it was off. Figured it was because I did all the work in the couple days it took for this to arrive. Thought I should give it a try on the other side and as you can see with my video one handed I had it off in 20 seconds! Maybe I'll only use this 4 times but it's going to be worth it.

I bought this socket to save money. It didn't fit out of the package as others have noted. I did take about a half hour to file down the points to fit the hub nut after I got the nut off of the spindle. The nut is easy to remove after the retainer is removed but thw socket will be needed to properly torque the nut upon installation.

It does what it’s supposed to do but it is a tool for one purpose so make sure you actually need it !

Does not fit 2007 Chev 2500 rear hub as alluded to
Good quality socket but the description states it fits 3/4 and 1 ton GMC and Chev pickups 1973 and newer. Maybe it fits the front hubs on older trucks that used that style bearing retainer, but it does not fit the rear of newer ones. It is a touch too small in diameter. I could probably grind down the tabs to make it fit but that's the only way it will work.

May need slight modification before use
I think this is important to note that the powerfist has square nibs & GM are slightly rounded inside so before you get upset & through the tool at the back of shop, grab a file, die grinder or like me a 41/2 cut off blade & taper ever so cautiously not to remove more than needed for an exact fit.

A much cheaper alternative for RAM2500 rear axle
I used this to set the bearing preload on my 2007 Dodge RAM2500. As others have commented about this socket, it is much cheaper than other sockets for servicing American Axle rear axles on RAM2500/3500. You do need to spend a few minutes first grinding down the backside of the fingers to make them rounded, so they will fit the bearing adjuster nut. I knew to expect that before I bought this and there were no surprises.

Fits Perfectly
Fit my 1999 F250SD with the 10.5" Sterling axle perfectly. No need to grind anything down as per some internet info. Well made and way stronger than needs be. Specialty tools like this can be expensive. This one wasn't, but even so, there's a lot of money saved when you replace your own axle seals (or wheel bearings), so this tool wins on both counts... inexpensive and easy for the DIYer.

2500HD axle shaft nut
I used the socket to remove and put back on the axle shaft nut. Worked well, needed a bit of help to get it to fit (tapped on with a hammer). U was able to complete the task of changing g the rear axle seal with it. Would have been hard to do without it.
