Fine as a traditional toggle bolt, but there are much better solutions

If you need a traditional toggle bolt, this 1/4" version is sturdy and as good as any. There are many situations where only a traditional toggle bolt will work, such as where ceiling where it's being used is angled. However, if you are looking for the best possible means of anchoring something heavy to a ceiling or a wall, you the Toggler Snaptoggle is a much better solution. It's much easier and faster to install, several times more sturdy and it can be used equally well in a wall or ceiling. Not only that, but the supplied screw can even be removed as necessary, and then reinstalled without losing the placement of the anchor. With a traditional toggle bolt, removing the screw means losing the anchor and starting over. Definitely check out the Toggler snaptoggle, as linked here and reviewed elsewhere. Great For Hanging My 75" Samsung TV On Dry Wall

I used the Hillman Group 41429 Round Head Toggle Bolt 1/4-4in for mounting my 75" Samsung TV to a dry wall. I used 4 Toggle Bolts before I moved into a new apartment after paying a maintenance guy to install and realizing how easy it was. I do not use an articulating wall mount so DO NOT buy these for that set up. Your TV will most likely rip off the wall due to the weight and moment placed on the toggle bolts. My wall mount is a slim flat design which only allows you to slightly tilt the TV up to access the ports on the back. I've had my TV mounted like this for over a year prior to this new mounting with Toggle Bolts and it never failed.

I actually use these for my dog's big plastic ball. I put an 1/4 eye bolt on this and drilled a hole in her 14" plastic ball. I then use a heavy fishing spinner to attach a rope to it and keep it from twisting. She uses it for hours and gets going really fast with it. Sometimes she will just walk it around the yard or tries to hit the other dogs with it.
