Nice plastic rackmount unit
This is a nice box. The pieces all fit together well to make a sturdy unit. I'm using mine as a desktop unit. One thing that is not shown in the exploded view or on the data sheet, is that the front and back panels are removable flat pieces of plastic which is nice if your plan to mill holes in it. I contacted BUD and they sent me a step file of the unit, so I was able model my whole assembly in CAD and then use that to create the milling files for the front and back panels.

Does the job at a reasonable price
Made of ABS. Strong enough for my needs. I did not need the shielding properties of metal.

Great case for rack mounting project electronics
This case works well for rack mounting electronics projects, or small form factor AIO solutions. Be careful of the four screw posts in the middle of the "pan" that are used to screw the lid on. Depending on your application you may need to dremel the screw posts out, and just set the top lid on.

It's a plastic rackmount project box
I used this to make an enclosure for my raspberry pi, a relay board, and some other electronics to keep them safe in a server rack. Pros: - Relatively cheap compared to other rack mounted things - Easy to accurately cut the plastic Cons: - Internal places to screw components into place are few and far between - Screws that keep it closed are difficult to put in and won't last through opening it more than a few times - It hangs limply from its mounting brackets All in all, I'd buy it again if I needed a second rackmount project box.

Useful enclosure at a good price
Nice box. A little flimsy until all screwed together. I did not test the track ears.

Kind of works. Not built well.
Kind of works for a custom project case, but the rack ears aren't built well and it sags when mounted.

Fragile
The unit arrived broken. I should have sent it back but I didn't. The damage is internal so it won't show. I think it was probably a return from someone else and they knowingly shipped it broken because the broken pieces were not in the box/plastic wrap. Not a good experience. I am not inclined to by another Bud Industries box if I can find another manufacturer.

Easy to use
very nice rack cabinet for housing light electronic applications. ABS plastic is durable, yet easy to drill, mill and cut as needed. The posts that are used to screw the covers together are awkward and may interfere with your choice of mounting boards and controls. My solution was to cut off the ones in the way and secure the covers by drilling 4 holes in each of the 4 removable corner inserts/ear mounting brackets and using self tapping screws. I only had to remove 2 of the 4 posts on the lids so the remaining two give extra support to the covers. I highly recommend this case and plan to purchase more for future projects! Also, the plastic front and rear panels are removable and the plastic is very easy to drill, cut, mill, file to acommadate virtually any display/control/switch shapes required.
