I bought to use as a tube preamp chassis, with a separate module steel chassis power supply. Even with this I needed to take extra precautions to shield the filament supply lines. Aluminum, non Ferris metals do not block RF well. The positives are that its Light, strong, easy to work with, polishes up very nice. this chassis is thick enough for medium weight components but I would not recommend large transformer type builds at least not without say, wood side boards for looks and stability. This box is built fairly well, matches the specs given, corners are good and square, but its a bit thin for a larger box with 3 inch height.

It makes for a nice enclosure for any project.

I used this as a chassis for my DIY vacuum tube tremolo. It is great. Nice and light. Easy to work with. I would buy more from Bud.
