Great compared to the competition but could be much better
In my continuous search for the "just right" tool bag I purchased the Bucket Boss 64014 Pro Gatemouth 14. I like that it is black and I like the rubber bottom which I thought would be bulky but is not. I like it that the handles stand up for easy pick up. The thing that needs improvement is the depth of the pockets. The outside pockets are so shallow that a roll of electrical tape fits perfectly in them and comes right to the top of the pocket. Forget about putting a set of allen wrenches in them because the pocket isn't deep enough and they will fall out. On the inside the situation is about the same. I would really get much better use of the bag if the pockets went to the bottom of the bag which you would think would be obvious but they don't. They stop at the place where the rubber bottom is attached to the bag. The pockets could be two inches deeper which would go a long way towards holding wrenches, screw drivers, and flashlights in place. A deeper pocket would also help for these tools to be kept inside the bag so that the zipper could be closed. As it is my 8.5" long flashlight sticks out of the bag by an inch and even my half inch open end wrench sticks out. All that being said if I could find a better bag I would buy it but for now this is the best I can find.

The bag construction is great. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs
The bag construction is great. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs, or wants, to carry around a variety of tools for general jobs; however, I would NOT recommend trying to carry a bunch of small tools. The interior pockets are, literally, useless. They don't carry much of anything... except some latex gloves. Forget trying to keep tools in there and transporting them organized. Other than that, the bag is pretty spot on. Pretty impressed.

Shallow pockets
It's very rugged as expected but the pockets suck. Zipper is tough to zip up due to it being curved at the sides. The ID holder has the opening on the side instead of top making it easy for your ID to end up on the ground, plus it's on the smaller side so if your ID is in a protective cover, it will not fit.

Beefy but not good design for me
Good quality construction, don't know yet how long it will last carrying my hand tools. Big problem 1. The inside pockets are all identical size so do not accommodate various size objects. Problem 2 is that all the exterior pockets are all the same size and are too shallow, so when you tip the bag or set it down hard, the stuff in the outside pockets falls out. Would have been much better to have one or two deeper exterior pockets with velcro flap. Earlier bucketboss bags had closable outside pockets and were great.

Needs improvement
Shallow inner pockets which are really useless and the bag handles tear and crack after several weeks of use (The vinyl portion ) Bag NOT available in a 16 inch size .I would of perferd a 16 inch size for my needs .Big difference from the 14 to the 18 inch bag .

Comfy handles and side handles are pretty convenient. Great idea and they have something here
Very durable bag, but pockets are way too small!!! Comfy handles and side handles are pretty convenient. Great idea and they have something here.. I say go back to the drawing board and work out the pocket issue and put some ykk sippers and you have a 5star winner!

The best quality and aesthetics of a utility bag at this price point.
What a great purchase on my part. I went into the purchase looking to invest in a bag that I could use years down the road that could carry tools for my small jobs. This bag is stellar. Looks BEAST on me when I walk with it on my side.

Perfect small/medium sized tool bag
A perfect small/medium sized bag for tools. The solid rubberized base of the bag makes it stable and maximizes the space inside the bag. The bag fits in a regular sized cabinet for storage unlike many of my other tool bags. The build quality is very good. I now own 6 of these bags. I would highly recommend the Bucket Boss 64014 bag.
