Very Slow To Heat Up
For the money it is just ok. This replaced an identical looking burner I had for years. I use it to boil water. This one looks the same but is a slug to get up to temp. For occasional use it is fine but if you plan to use it often I would not recommend it.Hope this helps!

Completely died after six months
My expectations for this product weren't very high. After all, it's just a simple stove burner. The first problem was that the burner didn't sit level, no matter how much i moved it around and played with it. This was pretty disappointing, but I continued to use it, just with more care. But, apparently, this burner gradually cooks ITSELF over time as you use it. It started shutting itself off when I would try to boil water after the first month. Eventually I had to keep turning the temperature knob up higher and higher just to get it to turn on at all. Now, it doesn't turn on and I'm past the return window. Quality control for this product seems to be very poor, I'll be shopping for a different brand now that this one is toast.

Great deal for the price!
We recently had floors replaced, the gas range was also tossed because mice had taken up residence..eww..so we ordered two of these burners to tide us over until we find the Right stove. Received them today, planned spaghetti for dinner. The pot I used for boiling noodles was twice the size of the burner, so I figured I'd have an issue there (I read other reviews) so I heated the water for 15 minutes, shut heat off, 3 times (the electric burner thermostat shuts off when temperature is reached..the third time, water was staeming but just 174°F..about 50°F short of boiling..but I dumped the pasta in anyway, it took maybe ½ hrs for thin pasta, but it DID cook a tad more than aldented. The other burner did a great job in heating up the jar of spaghetti sauce (the Italian sausage had been nuked earlier, then sliced up) My only problem was length of time to boil 3 qt water, but I allowed extra time because I'd read the reviews and knew what to expect.. I can see how handy these would be in a camping or RV, they rescued us from more crock pot and take-out Chinese dinners!

Works great!
Bought this to use at a hotel for light cooking during our last trip. It works well heats up fast but it does go to really hot really fast then stops, but for my purpose it works! I got a small pan to go with this and it was heated fast. Nice for travel where there is no kitchen and you got to do light cooking. Would definitely use again for our next trip out of town!

Powerful little hot plate
I bought this when we were getting kitchen renovations done and didn't have a stove top. It has done the trick beautifully. It's very easy to use and it warms up quickly.

Cuts in and out
Reach’s temp and then cuts out, cools off and then re-heats. Have to keep turning it hotter to cook food….

Broke After 2 weeks of Use
Be warn, the IMUSA electric burner stopped working after 2 weeks. Because we're not American warranty does not apply. IMUSA request contact via email but they took almost a week to respond to our initial email. This was our first IMUSA purchase and last.
