Disappointing quality.

A damper is supposed to be full of oil to work correctly. One of the steering dampers on my zero turn had leaked all of it’s oil out so I went ahead and ordered two new ones so both control levers would have a matched feel to them. I got these replacements out of the package and when I worked them by hand, they were both low on oil and had a lot of air in them. I did go ahead and install them thinking that since they were mounted at an angle, the air would migrate to the top and not be an issue. Wrong. The air was a huge problem making the controls too easy to move around so when you hit bumps and stuff you inadvertently move the control levers. I put the old ones back one which there is a bad one and a good one. The good one is completely full of oil with no air in it and it works great. The other one has leaked most of the oil out and works like these two new ones I bought. Very disappointing.
