great dart for the money

The media could not be loaded. i need to replace a dart set i had for over 20 years and these have the features i wanted...a high quality dart for half the price of others, a knurled grip (and yes, still a normal rough knutled feel even though they are painted), a moveable tip, a straight shape and center-balanced. I know people argue about the benefit of a moveable point...it can only help, and its what I've used for a long time in my previous set of darts. and I have fewer bounce-outs than those I play with. purely anecdotal. the only other thing I'd like is higher % tungsten if that means same weight and thinner dart. these look thin, so it wouldn't be much difference, plus the diameters don't always reflect that expectation. I'm ok with that. I wondered how these were weighed, but need to explore some different weights anyway, plus Amazon returns are always easy, so I took the chance. I was hoping it meant only the barrel and point weight, but no..it's total assembled weight. I plan to keep them anyway and try them out for a while. I saw one other reviewer mentioned Bottelsen darts in the "Top Box" package all are weighed by "Total assembled" weight, which as you can see in my video, the package confirms. He said other packaging from Bottelsen posts weights by barrel & point only. most dart resellers advertise that way as well. this set: 3 darts = 62.7g (20.9 each) assembled 3 darts = 57.8g (19.3 each) barrel & point only and I ordered black, and received black, even though the picture stayed purple after my selection. I haven't thrown them yet, and expect to want a heavier dart, but the experts say a lighter dart is good to throw occasionally. These appear to be a good deal so far. I wanted these to try out before spending more unnecessarily on higher tungsten and higher weight Bottelsens that have no paint on the grip, and I'm glad I did. now eight is really my only reason for a different dart, and that may also change after throwing with them. "Manufactured in the USA" is always a plus to me.

Cheap! Bottelsen's reputation for quality darts suffers greatly from this product.

My new fav Dart

Been throwing this one for a few weeks and it has become my goto of all 6 sets of darts. I changed out the flight because I felt the original was a little flimsy. I feel like these are solid rockets coming out. The tips are different in that they sink in the dart which might take some getting used to. If you don't throw the dart hard enough you have to reset the dart when you pull it out of the board. I actually hit my first 3 doubles and the darts stuck like a beauty. to bad I was only practicing. I like the lighter 21 dart but will also throw a different 23 but always come back to these.

Love the grip I have a problem with rolling the barrel but this dart helps out with that great dart

Purple darts

I bought these darts because my buddy I play darts with uses really heavy darts and I just couldn't get used to them. I got these on time and they are nice. I bought different flights to go with them, and I love how they look. If you're looking for a thin/lighter weight dart, these are good. The retractable point seems to have less bounce out if you hit the wire rim. When removing these darts, remember to do a push/pull instead of a twist. It helps them come out easier. I am not a dart pro and just got started with darts. I like them, and they were what I was looking for. Side note: The "case" this dart set comes with is just the packaging. It can be used as a case. But I quickly ditched it and got a real case.

Reduced bounce outs

Received second set today. I practice with six darts. At one point today, I hit three doubles and a single....with six darts. It was still glorious. The three landed in the right side off the double bull, and, the left side of the double bull was still open; welcoming. Left me wondering how many can I fit? I would say these Bottelsen ,21 gram Hammerheads, are magnificent. I don't know how much voodoo these Hammerheads used, but, I liked the magic against my Narwhal Kingston. (The thing has braces in it bullseye). Looking forward to receiving my Winmau Blade 5 board. All hail Wayne Bottelsen. OO-RAH!

Great quality dart

Absolutely phenomenal darts. The hammer head design really drives deep into the board and minimizes bounce out. Perfectly waited. For the price I'm really happy with their quality. A great dart for leagues if your just beginning. They have a nice level flight and the knurling really provides great grip if you like to put a little spin on your dart.

Says it comes with a carrying case, which is just the plastic packagin. But darts are good
