Great Nails

I was looking for FLN200 Nails and Amazon had it at lowest price. The outer box seems to be little old, but all 5 x 1000 individual boxes are all intact. Quality of Nails is awesome. I used the nails with Bostich Hardwood Nailer and not even 1 misfired. I did have some partial installed nails due to loss of pressure though. Advice : DO NOT TRY TO PULL OUT THE NAIL IF INSTALLED HALF WAY. Use pliers or hammer sideways back and forth. The nail eventually breaks at the stem. Before breaking the nail, also shoot another nail about an inch away on either side. Update : After finishing the job : Used 99.9% of nails without sticking the gun.

Quality nails, I repurchased

Quality nails, I used it on 3/4 hickory flooring with an auto nailer ($120ish one). The only miss fires I had was when I hit the nailer to lightly. Otherwise these nails worked great. One note if you do not hit the nailer hard enough the nail will not go in deep enough. When this happened I used a hand held grinding wheel to cut off the nail at the tongue level. I think pulling the nails out would be impossible. Nails arrived on time and the packaging in tact. I liked these so much I repurchased when I decided to do additional flooring in other rooms.

great hardwood nails

There was a lot of conversation out there that these nails come in as lose nails, etc; I got least 18000 of them to do a 4200 sq ft home in hardwood; my hardwood guy tried the staples and it was cracking the hardwood, they told me to get these nails, I did, and I got to say, they work great; its got the little bites that grab onto the subfloor and wont budge; I had a great experience with these nails. Hope this helps anyone that is considering buying the nails.

best flooring nail

These nails are by far the best. Grip strength is superb...if by chance you bend one over, don't even attempt to pull it out, just snip it off. I used a manual Bostich nail gun with excellent results. The only nails I bent was my fault, I didn't strike the hammer hard enough the first time and bent the nail on the second strike....this only happened in confined spaces like the closets, where I had to reduce my hammer swing....but the nails are strong !!! Amazon delivered overnight, when I couldn't find any locally. Amazon helped keep the progress of the floor installation going. No down time waiting for needed materials.

I prefer the cleats to nails or staples. They hold the boards tight against the subfloor and are difficult to pull out. I used them with the Bostitch 2 in 1 flooring nailer Model # BTFP12569. The only drawback is that the box arrived somewhat damaged with a few loose cleats. This is more of a seller/shipping issue than an issue with the cleats themselves.
