Not for the RSM6045

Ordered thinking these were the direct replacement for my sander and they don't have the metal collar that accepts the "teeth" from the sander. I made it work while I waited on the correct part though.

Better to buy actual Bosch replacement

I recently purchase a replacement pad for my Bosch ROS65VC sander not realizing it was an aftermarket item. I noticed a vibration I never had before and it lost its grip on sandpaper within a few months. This time I made sure to buy the actual Bosch replacement and sure enough no move vibration so I’m gonna guess the aftermarket pad was not balanced well.

If you manage to order the right one? Amazon advertises several of these pads for the same model number. It took me three tries to find the right one. This one succeeded. I wish I had the model number handy. It’s well-built and considering the amount of sanding I do I might chime in later to see how it holds up. If this model works for you, order several because they do eventually were out.

The one with metal is BOSCH RSM6046 6 In

I just received this in mail today and while it does fit and work($15.00-vs $40.00) I don’t believe it will last long. This particular one doesn’t have the metal disk that’s attached to the backside portion .The metal piece at attachment holds the pad in correct position without wobbling and coming loose. This one is all plastic. The one you want is BOSCH RSM6046 6 In and is also available here on Amazon. I was trying to save a few dollars but, I purchase the Bosch get75 n for a big (diy) project and I’m afraid even my trusty Dewalt might not be up to the task of 8 straight hours of heavy use (weeklong) 06/02/2021. I finally wore out the original pad that came with the get 75 6n and placed this one on (I wore out original hook & loop) it lasted about 2 minutes . It started to oscillate wildly, the plastic didn’t sit right when tightened and went into trash. I ordered two of the hard pads(blue) rms6406 from Amazon and received them very next day and work like the original for hard surfaces.

Fits my Bosch 3727 perfectly. This pad is a little firmer then the one that came with the sander which I like. Seems like it will hold up longer as the softer pad started to disintegrate and fall apart after a few years. Since this is a stiffer foam I think it will last longer. Good for sanding flat panels and and you can go to the edge and not worry as much about rounding over the corner since the pad does not deflect as much.

Like a new sander

This is perfect. I have bought this pad 3 different times as I wear them out (I do a lot of large table tops) and each time I replace it I feel like I have a brand new sander in my hand. It switches out within a minute and then I'm off and running again. My Bosch is 9 years old and this pad makes it perform like the day I first took it out of the box!

Article défectueux, pas de soutien pour un échange. Service Amazon décevant

Plaque RS6046 achetée le 25 avril 2021. Utilisation occasionnelle, 2 ième changement de papier, le velcro s'est délaminé de la plaque. Pour une réclamation il faut passer à travers le site Bosch.ca... impossible. Amazon devrait faire le soutien du consommateur, c'est là l'avantage du marchand local. Je suis très décu d'Amazon.

Not worth it

The difference between the soft medium and hard is so small, it is not worth it unless you need to change the backing pad.

Great Backing Plate - No Rounded Corners

This is a perfect backing plate I use on my Bosch ROS65VCL - it is nice and firm and won't round over any sharp edges. Works great and has lasted me quite a long time now.
