Great quality
I was debating between this model and the RH328VC, I chose this model since it has ~40% more impact energy (important in a tool like this) as well as more metal on the front casing compared to the RH328 (the RH328 has plastic). I take care of my tools but definitely use them hard, so I needed a professional quality rotary hammer and not the China made consumer grade models sold at the major box stores. For anyone interested the hammer/rotary drills at Home Depot/Lowes do not compare to the higher end Bosch drills like this one, not even close. The box store rotary drills are made in China, this one is made in Germany. Also the shape of this drill is more versatile than the 'long' style SDS drills sold at the box stores. I opted for an SDS Plus instead of an SDS Max since the Plus bits are much more readily available and not as expensive when compared to SDS Max bits. The Bosch SDS Plus bits sold at Lowes/HD are made in Germany and great quality, the Bosch 'extreme' SDS Plus bits are even better for a few bucks more since they have a solid carbide tip. I would put the higher end Bosch rotaries near the same level as the more expensive Hilti rotaries, both are made in Germany. Hilti offers a better warranty and replacement program, so professionals who use the tool daily may benefit from that aspect which might be worth the premium to them. I gave the tool 5 stars since it is built well and performs perfectly. It drills 5/8" holes in concrete like going through warm butter. This drill has drill only, hammer only, and hammer-drill modes, it also has a reverse switch. Keep in mind I don't believe that Bosch ever brought the interchangeable 3 jaw chuck to market here in the USA last I checked, one is sold on the European market if you do some Googling. But I would never use a standard 3 jaw chuck in this type of drill anyway for many reasons, that is what a 1/2" regular drill is for, due to the RPM speed and other factors it only makes sense to use the supplied SDS Plus chuck on this drill.

An awesome tool
I have a big Bosch SDS-Max rotary hammer that I use for digging up clay, pounding in ground rods and rebar, and using large diameter masonry bits and core bits. However, I needed something smaller, lighter and more maneuverable for boring smaller holes in concrete for installing concrete anchors. I am amazed at how efficient this SDS-plus hammer is. I can drill four anchor holes in about a minute with a good quality masonry bit. Good thing, since I have about 400 of them to do. The key is the impact energy that this drill imparts, and it does so without putting too much strain on my hands and arms. My one complaint is that the depth gauge does not lock in place securely enough - it tends to walk backwards, causing the holes to get progressively deeper.

Wish I had bought one much sooner - Great tool
I am a keen do-it-yourselfer and have been using a DeWalt corded hammer drill for past projects. I had come to dread having to drill into my home's concrete slab as it was such a slow and noisy experience, which left me with blunt drills and numb hands. On a recent kitchen re-modeling project I had to drill many sleeve anchors into the concrete - armed with my old DeWalt and a new Bosch masonry drill bit I set about drilling the holes -- 15 minutes later I had barely completed one hole and my new drill bit was worn down to a stump. It was at this point and after some research, I decided i needed a rotary hammer - from there I quickly figured out that an SDS-Plus model was right for me and I liked the spec on this Bosch RH432VCQ model. Having used it extensively for the past couple of weeks I can only say this tool is excellent ! The Bosch rotary hammer drills through my concrete like it was butter - I have put in 2 boxes of sleeve anchors and I don't think I have even started to dull the drill bit. Holes take about 10 seconds each to drill. I have also used it for taking up floor tiles with a tile chisel and wood drilling a 1.5 inch hole through 6 inches of wood to install a new gas pipe - it tackles everything with ease. Wish I had bought one sooner

Excellent SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the RH432VCQ. Originally I purchased the RH328VCQ, but the RH432VCQ has 42% more impact power although it is 30% heavier (10.3 lbs. vs. 7.9 lbs.). Relative to the RH328 the RH432 has a lot more metal in the front of the unit that contains the rotary hammer mechanism; this leads me to believe that it is more robustly built. The RH432VCQ is constructed in Germany so I expect to get a lifetime out the tool. I plan on using it to anchor shelving units to concrete foundations this weekend and in the fall I will use it to remove the tile floor from my kitchen. I did consider purchasing a SDS MAX hammer, but I went with this SDS-plus unit for the following reasons: 1) I can use it in rotation only mode to drill large holes in wood. To my knowledge all SDS MAX tools do not have a rotation only function. Because the only other drill I own is a 3/8" having this feature saves me from having to purchase another tool. 2) At 10 lbs I did not want to have to hold onto a heavier tool 3) I can readily purchase SDS-PLUS bits at local hardware stores; SDS-MAX bits are more difficult to find for a homeowner. Update: I recently used this product with the Bosch tile chisel (HS1465) to demo ~250 sq. ft. of tile in my kitchen (floor and backsplash) and hallway. It performed absolutely flawlessly.

THIS ROTARY HAMMER DRILL IS AWESOME
The media could not be loaded. I have used this drill for over one year and it's been flawless - its a brute with lots of power . I have always used a regular hammer drill and this rotary hammer drill is far superior. I have used it for drilling as well as installing ground rods and rebar. This drill is the best decision I have made in years saving me time and so much easier to install grounding rods. I decided to make a couple of videos of the drill in action . STEVE ROB

Very comfortable to use.
I've use it to drill 1/2" and 3/4" holes in Granite and Concrete. It has a lot of Torque and the vibration is much less than my old one. It feels solid, I am very happy with it.

The Best!
Having used many hammer drills - and wore them all out - I can say that this tool is the greatest. Bosch quality & reliability. I use it for drilling & chiselling very hard granite, it has more than enough stamina for that. Most power available in an SDS-Plus format. You can get more power in an SDS-Max, but you will pay way more for your bits. Something to consider.
