Great but, worked really well
I needed to drill some 1-1/2" holes in a cinder block retaining wall. I tried the diamond tip hole saws. Those were terrible. Kept binding, really slow cut. I kept the tool wet and it took over an hour to cut one hole. The holes was really clean and professional looking, but I was exhausted after just one. Switch to this guy and a cheap rotary hammer ($150 from a chain discount tool place), and I punched 10 holes in the same amount of time. I kept the tool wet so it would stay cool and keep a sharp edge longer. I was still pretty tired after an hour of work, but now I'm halfway done with the project.

Not 23”
Got the 2” x 23” but. Drills great but was two inches shorter than advertised (label on bit shows it’s 21” long). I needed that last 2” for my project so was disappointed. Nice bit otherwise.

This is the real deal and work great
These are really good, but it may be a little too large for smaller hammer drills to use if they're not powerful enough but many times the material being drilled is soft enough that it will work. For some reason, these were about 50% on prime days. What a great deal.

This a beast
Drilled several 1-1/4 x 34" holes in some bolders for a water feature for the 3/4" water tubing. Rented the biggest Hilti hammerdrill from Depot and this bit made short work of the holes. No wear or tear on the bit. Just bought a smaller long bit to handle some of the smaller holes.

This is an incredible masonry bit!
Holey moley! The biggest problem I had was keeping it from drilling too deep. This thing goes like gang busters. It blasted through a 6 inch, 30 year old concrete slab like it was soft pine wood!

It's really only a 16" after it goes in your gun
Had the buy a 36" for the job I was doing

Simply Amazing!
First things first... Bosch has swtiched to the "Speed X" series design, "Wild Bore" are no more... I used this to open some holes in block walls for some toggle bolts and a couple of holes in concrete for expansion anchors. A word for the wise, if you intend to use this in hollow block, use the lowest power setting on your rotary hammer and don't use it on anything less than two inches. You'll just blow out the rear of the block. Stay away from edges too if you can avoid it. I gotta say, after a weekend's worth of usage, and after a qucik wipe down with some 3-in-1 oil. These things look brand new. Granted I wasn't drilling sun up to sun down and my material was pretty soft, I'm still impressed. It makes a nice clean entry hole and smooth shafted interior. Just as it comes out th rear you can get some chipping or blowout. The bits themselves are strong and I expect a good deal of longevity out of them. I don't have a lot of experience with other brands, but as far as a name brand goes, Bosch seem to offer a nice balance between good quality and reasonalbe pricing. Dewalt I think are over priced for their bits and I only trust Makita, Bosch, and Hilti past that. The others are harder to find on Amazon, but they do have a wide selection of Bosch SDS-Max bits here. I will say, unless you need the extra length, the shorter bit might be a smarter option. Otherwise your gloing to have a little more difficult a time getting the hole strait and hanging onto that much weight.

Cuts like butter though central US bedrock!
I bought this bit along with several other of the SDS Max Rotary Hammer Bits to drill holes in bed rock to set t-posts and 8x8 wood posts. I purchased almost the entire set from 1/2" to 2"1/2" and all are designed to drill holes at least 16" deep. The drill I am using is a monster with a 25 lb drill head. With these bits, the bedrock was no match. For a single t-post, I drilled a 2 1/2" hole 16" deep, Depending on how hard the bed rock was, the whole took anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes from start to finish. after drilling a few hols, I tested drilling a pilot hole fist with a 1" bit. this bit cut through the rock lick it was butter. then I finished up with the 2 1/2" bit. Not only did this cut down on the drilling time to a consistent minute or so per hole, the 2 1/2" bit also cut thought the rock with ease. after about 60 holes drilled, the 2 1/2" bit is showing some wear but still works fine and the smaller bits still look like new (but used). Will be testing these in concrete and would expect the same type of performance, assuming I don't hit rebar.

Unreasonable price
Fair...but very costly

Poor Quality
We've order 6 or so of these bits over the past 3 months. It indicates in the posting that a warrantee is available but there is no numbers/emails to contact to talk about it. The first two lasted near 80-100 holes of drilling only concrete. Since then, we've had one or two that didn't make a dozen, all of the tips have broken off and they must be using a very low quality steel. These things should just wear out, not break apart Won't be ordering more unless I hear from someone on the warranty of the first six..

Bosch makes very good products
We have been using Bosch products on our construction projects for decades. Their quality versus price ratio is very hard to beat. great bang for your buck!

This drill bit is not a 4 head as shown in the pictures
This is a fine drill bit but it isn't the quad head as illustrated. This is the HC5011 and the four head is the HCFC5011 which is also available on Amazon (for more money). Make sure you get the one you want (we are returning this one and getting the 4 head).
