Beautiful!
I was a little hesitant to pay this kind of money for a gym bag, but I like nice stuff and I wanted something that would hold up, had plenty of pockets and looked good as well. I was pleasantly surprised when I did finally receive my bag (shipping took a bit longer than expected, but we'll blame UPS for that). It is full grain leather, not the cheaper split leather like most products seem to be these days. Full grain is the highest quality and most durable leather available. The finish is gorgeous, the fittings, zippers, etc. are all very nice and operate well and the size is good for all the crap that I tend to shove into my gym bag. If I were forced to come up with a complaint, I'd ask for one extra compartment on the outside, properly sized to hold my cell phone with a velcro closure so that I could get to it quickly. But that's minor, since I usually can't hear the phone ring at the gym anyway! This would work fine as a weekend or overnight bag as well, especially if you want to impress your fellow travelers or the valet. I also like the fact that it's made in Colombia rather than China. Natch I'd prefer if it were made in America, but I guess South America is a good second choice. :)

Very Good - Almost 5 Stars
The bag is nicely made with double stitching all over. The leather is good quality - there were no signs of cracking or splitting. The zippers are of sufficient durability, with the teeth thick enough that they wont break off with use. The only "flaw" with the bag is in the way the top flap meets the bag. The corner of the flap is more rounded than the opening in the bag. This keeps it from looking as nice when its closed because the flap corners poke up a bit. This was not enough to keep me from returning the item and is easily overlooked.

Excellent Bag
The leather is nice and rich. The pockets are great and it is a well planned bag. It works well for a gym bag although it is very large - so if you are commuting with it you should be aware of that. easily holds shoes, flip flops gym clothes and a change of clothes to go out after the gym ( or your work clothes) with lots of room to spare. In the side pockets I keep the towel in one and my other toiletries and personal items in the other. the little zipped pockets on the ends are good for little things like ipod, electronic charging cords etc. This would be an excellent going away bag that could hold a few days worth of clothes if packed well.

Best value for leather goods!
This is my 2nd Piel gym bag, the first one lasted 10 years in a tough environment on my job with the railroad. Now that I'm retired, I bought another one, because you can't beat the quality for the price! Similar bags are priced at $350to $400, but at $105 dollars, this bag is a steal. I would never hesitate to buy anything from Piel, it's just good value for money!

Great leather bag, lining could be improved.
My husband loved his birthday present. The leather and stitching are high quality. My reason for 4 stars is bc the lining feels a little cheap and I can see how it might tear with regular use.

SIZE IS NOT ACCURATE!! Too small for the money
Beware this is not as represented, size wise. I ordered this because of the size published, I have a similar, slightly smaller bag and wanted one a little bigger one, The dimensions listed are 23X11X11 ACTUAL SIZE IS 21 X 10.5 X 10.5 and its round and not rectangle which reduces the packing space, while this may not seem like a big difference, I wanted it for travel, and I'm not happy. For the money it is way too small. I WILL BE RETURNING THIS BAG

Piel Bag
Bag is beautiful design and quality but unfortunately mine had a small manufacturing flaw with one section of the stitching which came loose. Can be fixed easily but a little disappointing. Apart from that, great bag.
