As good as it gets
I always read the negative reviews first. There are lot of them for this product. Having purchased a smaller version of this one, I wanted the larger version in exaxctly the same leather. However, some negative viewers doubted that what they received was even leather (rawhide). One even stated that the zipper was plastic. Klein tools are some of my favorates and I doubted that they would lend their name to any inferior product. Knowing that I could return this item if it did not fit the desctiption on Amazon, I ordered it. To be polite, I will assume that the negative reviewers did not receive the wonderful pouch that I did. It is exactly as represented by Amazon and identical to the smaller one I own. I've been a DOYr for over 50 years and I can attest that this product is one of the best I've ever bought. Go for it.

This is a very nice feeling of exactly what is pictured. It's actually more velvety feeling than pictured. Almost feels non leather on the outside. The zipper is comparatively more sturdy. Very difficult actually, initially. Loosens up quickly with use then just starts to feel smooth and durable. Logo is recessed and the trimming raised. Stamp like not stitched. Sizing is large. It's nice to have tucked away in the work van but I avoid carrying it. Doesn't get in the way or anything but is just a bit large if you're used to running around with a note pad. Carries a legal size note pad with plenty of room to spare. I carry additional pens, headphones, plus randoms like gum or whatever. It would be nice if it featured some kind of separators inside. Even if minor, just to hold pens or something. As it is, there is zero organizational ability built in, but it feels very nice.

THE ZIPPER IS THE CULPRIT!
GREAT CASE!!! EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, I.E., NO POCKETS INSIDE, GOOD LOOKING LEATHER, SIZE IS RIGHT, THE "KLEIN" EMBOSSING IS VERY SUBDUED, WHICH IS FINE WITH ME (I AIN'T NO CONTRACTOR); BUT THERE IS ONE BIG CAVEAT: THE ZIPPER DOES NOT WORK WELL AT ALL (THE QUALITY PEOPLE, IF THERE WERE ANY, SLEPT ON THEIR JOB!). I'LL KEEP THE CASE* DESPITE OF THIS SOMEWHAT ANNOYING HANDICAP AS IT WILL FUNCTION WITHOUT THE USE OF THIS ZIPPER (SILICONE DID NOT HELP SINCE IT'S NOT A MATTER OF LACK OF FRICTION, BUT RATHER THAT THE TEETH ARE NOT SEWN IN PARALLEL TO EACH OTHER BUT ARE AT A SLIGHT UPWARD ANGLE WHICH THE SLIDER CANNOT OVERCOME WITHOUT HOLDING THE TEETH TOGETHER FOR THE LENGTH OF THE OPENING.) *SENDING IT BACK IN EXCHANGE FOR A NEW ONE DOES NOT ASSURE ME THAT THERE'LL BE A BETTER ZIPPER.

New purpose
I purchased this product after launching a search for brown leather clutch bags. I loved the size and the quirkiness of repurposing it for a completely different use. When it arrived, very promptly, all the way to Perth Western Australia, I was even more impressed. The bag has a very pleasing finish and the logo gives a distinct touch of class. Very sturdy and voluminous. I used as a day bag to carry an iPad, two pairs of glasses in their cases, a smaller bag with cash etc, a set of shop keys and car keys. What more could a girl need. And the price, even with the loss into AU$ and postage was still nothing compared to what I would pay in a fashion boutique for a similar bag! I have recommended the bag to others and hopefully this will open up a whole new market for this manufacturer.

Excellent!
I am a university student, frequently study in Europe, and needed something to serve as a portable office. I wanted something leather, but not overly fashionable or “metro sexual”. This bag is stylish, functional and durable. I just throw this in my backpack and I'm ready to go. I have seen bags in Europe costing five times this and they are not as good of quality.

Excellent with 1 minor exception being that the heavy duty durable metal zipper sticks a little when it first starts to close but if you fiddle with it for a second then it works fine. No big deal. Great looking rich golden brown suede plenty roomy. I use it to carry business papers and I love it

I love these bags, own three so far!
Awesome product! I use it as a small briefcase. Perfect for carrying your notepads, pens, pencils, cell phones, etc., to meetings. Just a big leather man-purse/pocket. I am thinking of retiring this one to store coins. I'm curious as to how many Native American $1 Coins this will hold.

Love it
For some reason, it's hard to find a quality document case that doesn't break the bank. Most document cases on the market are either cheap/low-quality or high-end leather products. I love "buy it for life products" and this case is bang for your buck. Tough as nails nylon, solid construction, sleek minimal design, lifetime warranty. I bought it to hold tools and now bring it to the office. Klien Tools products are super underrated!

The workmanship & leather is of excellent quality. One small pit fall...once in a while the zipper does stick. but I put a little candle wax on it & it works fine.
