Great BUT!
This is a great product and I would have given it a higher rating but it is mislabeled. They claim it's a 1.5 liter capacity it is only 1.24208824 liter capacity. My use really required the 1.5L.

Perfect potion bottle
I bought absinthe and wanted to showcase the color of the magical drink. When I saw this decanter, I immediately thought “a potion bottle!” This is such a fun addition to our collection.

Nice utility carafe
This is a very nice piece of utility glass for every day use. They still haven't figured out how to pad the shipment tho, using bubble wrap to cover the outside of the box and leaving the glass stopper loose inside. No damage but not for want of trying! Otherwise, shiny!

Not the Most Beautiful, But Functional and Affordable
This decanter is a great value for under $15 if it arrives in one piece. The thin carboard box it came in contained no padding, so the glass was able to bounce around freely. Thankfully the glass is thick enough, so that it isn't too fragile and the Amazon packaging can compensate. The quality of the bottle is fairly good and I wouldn't be ashamed to leave it sitting at the table with dinner guests. The visible seems in the glass clearly indicate a mass produced item. The glass stopper is hollow with a plastic covered base that provides for a snug, air tight fit. I paired this decanter with theWMF Vino Stainless-Steel 4-Way Funnel and they work perfectly together. The neck of the decanter is wide enough to receive the base of the funnel and the wine has plenty of room to gently cascade down the sides of the bottle. A 750 ml bottle of wine easily fits in and there is still enough surface area to allow the wine to breathe. You will not get an entire magnum 1.5l bottle in this decanter. I like the shape of this decanter more than the popular style with the wide base. You don't have to tip it almost upside down to get the last glass of wine out. I would recommend wrapping a towel or napkin around the neck to catch that single drop of wine that always tends to remain on the lip. Cheers!

Very Good but Not Normal Bormioli
My husband and I are fans of Bormioli products as we purchased our recent wedding Bormioli Champagne Flutes (from Amazon) and were extremely pleased with them. With the purchase of this item we also ordered the Bormioli Rocco Premium Carafe 50 6/8 oz which arrived in the same Amazon package. We bought the Carafe for water and this decanter for cold brewed tea. Although the decanter is very nice and we are glad we purchased it; it just does not seem to live up to the outstanding quality of other Bormioli products. It was also concerning because with most products the Bormioli name is etched into the glass (such as with the Premium Carafe we also ordered) that is not the case with this particular decanter causing us to question the authenticity of the product. Perhaps, because the price is considerably less, lesser quality should be expected but we were slightly disappointed. However, overall, we do like the decanter, it looks good and is worth the price...but don't expect the heavy, outstanding quality that is normally found with Bormioli products.

This may not be the product fault, but decanter arrived with the topper broken. A large chip of glass broke from the topper, and a tiny chip of glass on the actual bottle. Just think it was possibly delivery, or a very fragile decanter. It was inexpensive though. so good deal for the price.

Beautiful Container, Read on
I like that the decanter is beautiful and graceful as depicted. I would rate it a 5-star except that the cover does not seal as I had expected. I need a good seal for my intended use.

An excellent large decanter
I got tired of having large wine bottles (used for cooking) on my counter and wanted something nicer. This quality decanter fits the bill perfectly. It's heavy, plain and looks good. I bought one, for red wine; buying another for white. Stopper fits tightly. Slight problem, stopper was loose and banging around the box but no damage was done. It should have been taped down for shipping. If you want a nice-looking inexpensive decanter, this one is highly recommended. Update: The second one arrived also with the stopper banging around the box, loose. There is no packing material; the bottle is just thrown in the box. This Italian company really needs to improve their packaging. Fortunately, unlike some other that have had problems,, there was no damage. I am leaving seller feedback.

Not very good quality for the money.
Ok for what we bought it for, which is for my wife to hold water in but, not suitable for a nice dinner party as the container has a very visible seam where they connected the 2 halves at the factory. Also we were very lucky to receive the product intact since the original box from the factory has no protective packaging to protect the glass. If I didn't know better I would think this is a cheap knock off from .....
