Sturdy, beautiful, easy to install

I almost did not order this fencing because of negative review comments. So glad I did not listen to the nay-sayers. This is wonderful product. It is sturdy, beautiful, easy to assemble and install and does the job for which I bought it - keeping my Miniature Australian Shepherd out of an area in my yard where she gets ticks. It's the perfect height. My dog loves to "hide and nest" under a big pine tree. Unfortunately she attracts ticks under there and because she has the MDR1 recessive gene she cannot have any tick-killing medication. The area of my yard is near my front door and I needed something pretty and that would go with the black trim. After reading some of the reviews I thought I was going to run into a problem with assembly and installation. I did not. It assembles more easily than any other fencing I have bought in the past. Same goes for the installation. Easy peasy. I waited until after a heavy rain and gently pushed the spikes into the ground. I used a small digger to help ease two or three of the posts in past some small stones. The fencing arrived in perfect condition. And since I installed it I have received many comments from neighbors about this lovely addition to the yard. Moral of the story: take negative reviews with a grain of salt. Many are written by competitors or people who don't know which side of a hammer is the business end.....not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier.

Issue with installation

The only issue with this item is installation. The pieces interlock, but tend to slip apart when being pushed into the ground. This is a problem because, once the installation tabs are bent, it is difficult to re-attach the pieces. I was concerned that bending and re-bending might break one off, luckily none did. Once installed, they look nice and stay put.

sturdy nice large pieces...covers a lot of area

seems nice and sturdy and easy to install IF you have soil without rocks, otherwise a little hard to install. looks very nice.

A little short for our labs

Nothing about the product it is fine but we have chocolate labs that can walk right over it!

Decent quality, looks nice, discourages my dog from burrowing.

Decent. Thought they were metal, though, like the other model shown. Hard to get the clips to hold, though, if there's a bit of a slope, when it pops over the top. I got it as a cheap solution to a dog with a propensity for burrowing and subsequently strolling down the street.

Okay for decorative purpose

Was not east to install. The spikes are flimsy. You have to first dig a hole into the ground in order to push spikes into ground. However, turned out nice once install. Smaller than I though it was going to be but its serving it purpose. Thank you

It is not metal as the discription

The discripton said it was metal but it was plastic I needed something in the backyard to keep the dog out of my garden, so I kept it. If it had been intended for the front yard I would have sent it back. I know it won't last another year.

Looks Good but not that Sturdy

Border edging looked good when I took it out of the package but I must have read the product information incorrectly because I thought it was going to be metal. Installed in the garden this morning and it was really difficult to line up because the plastic spikes did not go into the ground too well. I eventually dug a thin trench and pushed the fencing into the ground. The effect is quite good but would not utilize for a large area - I put it around a small ornamental tree so this is adequate for my needs.

Not as advertised, cheap plastic not iron

Total rip off. Says in the description material is iron but its cheap plastic. Was not happy that it was plastic but wanted to get my gaeden done so decided to just use it anyway. 4 pieces broke off when I was trying to push into the soil. Didn't even push hard on it and the stakes at the bottom bend and snap off. Horrible product. My own fault for just reading the description and not other customer reviews. Please do not waste your money you can get a better product at your local dollar store.

This is not made of IRON

In the product description it says "Material: IRON"...it is not IRON and is most certainly plastic and cheap. The price is right for plastic and cheap...just don't expect that you've stumbled upon an inexpensive metal fence.

It looks nice and works as advertised

This is a nice product, it is exactly as advertised. You need to be careful when pushing its spikes into the ground as the plastic is not very strong. I used a piece of wood to distribute the force, and it went into the ground perfectly.
