Works as advertised
I built myself am extra fused power block for my 2011 Ford Crown Victoria and wired this straight to the fuse block to operate an internal cabin Rove 2 4K dash cam. The on/off switch enables me to turn the camera on when needed and off when not. The voltmeter is a plus as my car has a higher rated alternator (200 amps) than a civilian Crown Victoria (135 amps). It enables me to monitor the volts going through my extra fuseblock and ensures that my system is operating inside nominal parameters (14 amps).

Great product
I've had this installed in my converted sprinter van to use for sending power back to my house batteries, and haven't had any issues. Unit seems really solid and well built, the breaker shuts off when I trip it, and it was easy to install.

Will not Trip
First of all I purchased the 187series 200amp version and connected it to the positive terminals on my 200Ah LifePo4 battery. Tested it with a heavy load of 210amps. It didn't trip or showed any signs of tripping . At least I can shut down the battery easily. I then decided to spend another $100 on a 150Amp version. This time I connected it between my 2500watt inverter and the battery - making sure I connected the line to the line and the load to the load. Again tested it by plugging in my1100watt kettle and turning on the microwave at the same time. I wanted to simulate a situation whereby I might do this accidentally. I dont want to draw that much power (210amps) from my Battery at the one time. Again the 150amp didn't trip or no sign of it to trip. I had previously increased the cable size on the inverter from 16mm2 (pair) to 35mm2 because the 16mm2 was getting uncomfortably hot.. I decided to put the original cables back in again Tested once again with the same load. STILL NO TRIP. Although the cables were worryingly hot. Now it only serves as an on/off switch. I am no EE. At this stage I reckon the the cabling would be in a sorry state when these Circuit breakers trip. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. The Breakers seem very robust. I tried to do the responsible thing by fitting circuit breakers and good high amperage cable. Now it looks like I will have to go back to a Plain Old blade Fuse.

great breaker
this was the one i upgraded to after purchasing inferior brand. The quality is much better on these and it seems more reliable than the sub $20.00 versions.

Plenty of room for good connections.
Before making this purchase I compared the different series specs on the Blue Sea Systems website and selected the 187 series because it had 5/16" terminals on the back as opposed to the 1/4" terminals on the 285 series because I already had plenty of 5/16" connections. If you need exact measurements for the other options I found complete information available on the manufacturers website. The print on the front does not appear to very durable as it was already a little worn before I removed it from the package, otherwise the quality appears to be great. The attached photo shows the wear on the word "Trip" and the bottom portion of the symbol below the word "ON". While I am disappointed that the print is so fragile that it was worn before removing from the package, ultimately the current amount of wear is very minor and has zero impact on the primary function of the breaker, as long as it does not wear away completely when put into use. There is plenty of room on the back of the breaker making connections possible from several angles if needed. I used standard 5/16" ring connectors, but it looks like there *might* be enough room for the wide 5/16" connectors if that is what you already have on hand.

Excellent Breaker for Inverters
My wife needed an inverter for her work vehicle, that could power a centrifuge. So, after much research, I settled on the Blue Sea brand and this particular breaker because it can also serve as a power switch. You can feel the overall excellent quality of the breaker. The only con that is a little disappoint is the fact that the connection post nuts have no protective covers. Not a huge deal but I would have preferred nut covers. I improvised and used marine grade heat shrink on them. This was still the best option I could find either way. Would buy again.

Bought a cheaper one first won't make that mistake again overheated and almost cought fire. Save yourself the hazard and buy quality first.

Quality product
This product is well made and up to industrial standards. I started out using other breakers that overheated and to tripped well under the rated amperage. Blue Sea products have all provided accurate specs and performed to the specs. I will stay with Blue Sea for all my products. This company knows what they are doing and appear to have a lot of experience. My thanks to their engineers.

Blue Sea is quality!
I ordered this to use as a circuit breaker for an entire race car electrical system. I am nothing less than impressed with Blue Sea’s quality. You can feel just by holding it that they did not cheap out on the materials used. Function and operating is simple - flip the little yellow arm into the block when in use, and press the red button when not. It’s that simple! Wiring is just as straight forward. This block has been tortured in muddy, wet off road racing and has performed flawlessly. I will be buying more Blue Sea products as I need them!

You pay for what you get
Works great! Using for a Lewmar Profish 1000 windlass. Previously ordered another "70" amp breaker from China/another no-name brand which tripped constantly. No issues with this one. A bit pricey, but you get what you paid for.
