3rd times a charm

Had to order 3 times before I got it where I could easily fix the foot, but I put in tank and about 20 mins later wanted to move didn't like where it was. The water smelled like the statue like the poly resin scared that it might kill my fish. The dragon is Beautiful but worried about if it will harm my fish

2 broken in ship, mended second and kept it.

Had to reorder due to breakage. Both came in chinese style box in amazon box. Only packing in the both china boxes was a 2 foot sheet of 1/8 foam around the dragon. First box no amazon packing and room to thump around so the head was broken off. Second had some packing so only a foot was broken off. Lucky! The first had dull paint but great molding, while the second had less than perfect molding but a super paint job where the silver pops through the green much much better. Didnt want to risk a dull painted one on another return so I glued the foot back on and kept it. No bubblers holes on either but I really like it as do the fish. I have a 120 gal n fits nicely. Super glue worked on mine n ok for fish.

Who knew a Chinese painted product could be dangerous?

Edit: this is not fish tank safe. From 5 stars to 1 star. After a few months the paint is now in really bad shape. Had to deep clean the gravel as it is full of EXTREMELY fine green paint flakes. Removed the dragon and rinsed it under the sink and the paint washed right off. Smells like uncured fiberglass. I love the look and theme of this product and may try to find a way to repaint and seal it in a fish safe way, but this is dangerous to the water puppies health the way it is. The dragon is awesome. It is tall and has presence in the tank. Looks great in our 25g ***tall*** tank. Lighting is a bit awkward. Haven't figured out how to solve that yet. *** Added some inexpensive LEDs to the front lip of the aquarium and it looks great! Read the reviews and repeatedly see the "it broke in transit" notes. And... It broke in transit. Figured I would just keep reordering them until I got a good one. I got really lucky and the second one was perfect. Returning the first, for free. I'm not willing to glue something this expensive. The packaging from the manufacturer really is that terrible! A single large box with a really thin protective sheet. Even handling this gently, they have to break most of them. It's not that the dragon is overly fragile, but it will break if dropped. Amazon puts the original box in another box with better padding, but it's the internal box that is the problem. They need to unpack the original box and put something else in there.

It’s perfect!

It’s a gorgeous dragon, great detail. We drilled a couple holes so air would come out of mouth in the aquarium. I did read lots of reviews that paint was coming off. I painted it gold then 3 coats of poly acrylic. So I’m hoping it will last.

broken

Arrived broken in 3 pieces due to packing from original shipper, not amazon. I liked the piece enough to piece it back together and salvage it. Now sits in the middle my fish tank, it is very tall, I have a 55 gallon tank. I have received several positive "Wow" comments. Good details and a distinctive piece.

Majestic Asian Dragon

This dragon made it to Hawaii in one piece. Phew!!! Amazon boxing was good but the interior box the dragon came in could have been packed better with more foam. But all in all I am very impressed with this dragon. It stands almost 14 inches tall. A lot of detail. Made out of some kind of metal like aluminum. Very well made and sturdy. See photos. I bought this to put in my aquarium but you could also put it on a stand to display it. I might buy another to display in my office since the Dragon is my Zodiac sign.

100% Fantastic!

GORGEOUS dragon! Colour and detail are wonderful, heavy enough to sink and stay, small sitting footprint for such a large decoration so leaves good room for fishies while still being a great focal point. Heads up to the company though, you are likely losing quite a bit in replacing broken ornaments because the packaging is HORRIBLE! First one arrived broken and it was only by Amazons careful packaging that the replacement wasn’t as well. It’s basically loose in your box with a small strip of thin foam inside, that dragon rattles all over in there!

Find it hard to believe its fragile

Glad it came in one piece. Glad I spoken to a coordinator about extra wrapping due to previous reports about it. I like how its big, heavy. For those who have complained about the paint washing off you are eligible to get a certain waterproof spray paint in a variety of colours from a local hardware store. Now I dont feel like painting it gold as planned becuase of how genuine it looks.
