Glass doesn’t fit flush into the base, still looks good.

Bloomingville Glass Hurricane Mango Wood Base Vase, 7" This glass hurricane mango wood base from Bloomingville is a simple yet elegant design. The vase arrived quickly and with no damage. The color of the mango wood base is beautiful. It is just the right tone of wood and goes with almost any decor. The glass hurricane is thick and easily holds a large variety of items. Although the hurricane glass doesn’t fit flush into the base, it is still a beautiful piece. At the moment, ours is decorated with a beautiful candle. However, it can easily also be a multi-seasonal piece that can be decorated year round.

Glass doesn't fit properly in the base

I am so bummed about this vase. The glass piece does not fit properly into the wooden base so it is not sturdy enough for me to put it where I wanted to. Because it doesn't fit well, it sort of sits on top of it and creates large gaps around the base where it does not hit properly. It causes it to look uneven from different angles. If this fit well into the base, it would be my favorite thing! I absolutely love everything else about it! But because it does not fit, I am not comfortable putting it where I planned on. Maybe I got a wonky one, but for the price, its not worth it to me.

Pass! Glass doesn't properly fit in the base! Cloudy, poor quality glass, bubbles, chip in the rim!

I really wanted to like this Bloomingville Glass Hurricane Mango Wood Base Vase, but it is flawed! It looks FAR better in the picture than in person, but aesthetics aside, it is unstable on the base and lacks quality! Cons: ●Poor quality overall! ● Unstable and wobbly! Glass doesn't fit on the base properly! The wood base is not deep enough or shaped properly to securely enclose the bottom of the glass bowl/vase, so the glass wobbles and is unstable! I wouldn't place an actual flame candle inside, nor would I use it as a vase. In fact, I'm reluctant to use it PERIOD! The slightest bump to the bowl and it shifts to the side, over the edge of the base. Not only would I be concerned about the glass tumbling off the base and spilling water or dumping a burning candle, but even empty, the the heavy glass could cause some real damage to my hardwood flooring! ●Several flaws with the glass bowl, including: 1) The bottom is not shaped properly to hold a candle. It is elevated and curved in the very center, making for a very unstable base on which to place a candle. Candles slide around and slip to the side. 2) There are a lot of bubbles in the glass. 3) The glass is not smooth and has many rough spots. 4) There is a chip in the rim, which due to the dark color of the rim, is quite noticeable! Note: Because the rim was well protected by a heavy piece of styrofoam with a groove in which the rim was placed, the chip happened at the factory and not during shipment. 5) The glass is poor quality and cloudy! Regardless of how I've tried to clean it, the cloudiness remains! ●Overpriced! At just under $51, this poor quality item is definitely not worth the listed price! Bottomline: I fully expected to love the 7-inch Bloomingville Glass Hurricane Mango Wood Base Vase and was prepared to buy another one for the other side of my fireplace. However, due to the design flaws, instability, and poor condition overall, I won't purchase another one, nor can I recommend this product.

It’s unbalanced, but looks nice!

First off- this product looks really great. The stand is a beautiful color of wood and the glass is a great shape for candles or decoration. However…. It’s not stable. The glass does not sit properly within the wooden base. This is not a big deal if displaying plants or rocks, but I would be too worried to light a candle within this globe as it does move around very easy. If the glass was stable in the base, I would have given it a 5 star. Hopefully they can find a fix for this!

Bigger than expected

This is a heavy piece. It seats well in the wood base. There are a lot of flaws in the glass, around the rim, as well as bubbles here and there. Perhaps that is part of the charm? Way over priced in my opinion, but lots of uses for this decorative item. I would be very upset if I paid 50.00 for this!

Pretty but off

This kind of has a fish bowl feel with a mismatched wood base. No matter how much I turned it, the bottom never aligns so it always feels unstable. This should be fine for decor but not to use with flowers or around where people could bump it. The arrival presentation is nice and it has potential. Overall it’s quite pretty.

On the Larger Size, and Beautiful.

On the Larger Size, and Beautiful. I love the Bubbles in the Glass; but one of mine is up at the top, and left a sharp spot that I am going to have to sand down… or something. When I find the Perfect, faux candle, I will make something fun with some pebbles I found at Agate Beach, and some shells. I am not sure I want to use it with real candles. Right now I am using it for the little, Fun Sized Bags of Easter Candy.. it has multiple uses. I do not know if it is lead free, I would not use it for any food that is not wrapped.

Beautiful decorative hurricane

I love the contrast of the wood base with the glass hurricane. I love this empty but it would also look beautiful with a candle. The glass sits on top of the base so I would out this somewhere it isn’t likely to get bumped
