Great Pan, incredible service!
First and foremost, I'm just a person who decided to buy a grill pan. I'm not a chef, not a wannabe chef etc. All I wanted was to be able to grill some basics like chicken, steak and maybe vegetables on my stove. Where I live, I'm not permitted to have an outdoor grill. So with some research, I decided on the 12" Staub grill pan. having never used a grill pan before let alone, cooked on an enameled iron one, I wanted to be careful about it's use. Although I purchased the Staub grill pan thru Amazon, the real source was a company called DaSalla's. I called DaSalla's to be certain on the pan's pre and post cooking care. I was treated by the DaSalla's representative as though I was a regular customer and had purchased thousands of dollars worth of goods. I was very impressed with their service to someone who had purchased just one grill pan. Well, my first go at grilled chicken turned out terrific. The pan heated up as advertised (I followed a YouTube video produced by Staub). As a caution, make certain you use a silicone brush to spread out the oil on the pan (silicone won't burn under the higher temperatures of the pan). The result of my first attempt at grilling chicken in the pan was great looking grill marks and best tasting chicken I had ever made. The pan heated evenly and after following the guidance from DaSalla's, the pan cleaned up easily and beautifully. What I didn't anticipate was noting a small, possibly insignificant mark on the pan's cooking surface. This was the most expensive piece of cookware I had ever purchased and I wanted it to be perfect. After contacting DaSalla's and submitting photos of the cooking surface, DaSallas's went out of their way to make certain I was taken care of. They sent me a return shipping label via FedEx and coordinated an exchange for a new pan in the color I originally chose.I cannot say enough great things about the service and support DaSalla's continues to provide. I look forward to more great meals with this terrific addition to my kitchen...and thank you DaSalla's!

Best cast iron pan I have used.
The 1st cook I did was 2 prime ribeye steaks and 3 prime new york steaks. I have owned restaurants and have done steak competitions and had pro bbq teams with 30 years of experience and this pan helped me achieve some of the best steaks I have ever produced. And it cleaned right up. The pan distributed heat perfectly the grill marks were beautiful and the flavor and crust on the steaks were perfect. This pan is worth every penny. If your thinking about it then you obviously like to cook. So buy it! You wont regret it.

Staub 12in grill pan
Fantastic product. Cooks extremely evenly and retains the amazingly. If this pan is in your budget, it's the best you can buy for cast iron. The enamel coating make cleanup easy.

Rated best by American Test Kitchen
This is a great griddle - one slight catch, but minor - I believe these to be seconds with minor cosmetic blemishes. A very small amount of Cherry glaze is on inside of skillet lip - does not effect cooking. Highly recommend at this price of $109.

Great Size: 4 burgers or 2 big ribeyes
Staub makes a superior product. This is a nice size where I can cook 4 burgers, 2 ribeyes or maybe a nice filet of salmon or a skirt steak. Pre-seasoned but I seasoned with grape seed oil. Cleans easy. Super heavy but hey it’s cast iron and even heat. Never put in the dishwasher ????

Don’t pass up this pan
A+ to American Kitchens for their excellent recommendation of this pan. Finally, after trying at least 3 other expensive grill pans, one that truly delivers balanced heat and near outdoor grill flavors.

Second time around cracked
This is the second STAUB Square Grill Pan I have purchased. The first one cracked and this time the pan cracked where the handle is welded to the pan along with chipping of the outer coating. Cheap quality Staub pan at an exorbitant price, do not buy!

What is the difference between this pan and one that costs 1/10th as much?
I recommend buying a reasonably-priced pan similar to this and sending the remaining $175 to charity. I guarantee your food will taste just as good and you'll feel better as a person.
