Three Stars
Works pretty well, the transmitter for the outdoor temperature disconnects pretty frequently, I can't figure out why.

Time, Temperature, Inside and Out
I've come to like this little thing. The indoor unit -- which measure six inches long and three high and two deep, is meant to sit on a night table or desk. It includes an alarm clock (which I don't use). So: The outdoor unit is "splash-proof" but is supposed to be hung where it won't get drenched. For a month so far I've had mine hanging just under a three-inch inset by my window, and it has survived some big rains, but hasn't yet experienced the sort that drives the water sideways. It's transmitting without problems around ten feet without a direct line of sight -- supposedly it has a much greater range, but I haven't tested that. Accuracy: On receipt, I put batteries in both units and then left them side-by-side for an hour -- it takes a while to get to the temperature -- and they both settled on the same temperature to a tenth of a degree. Perhaps that's just chance, but that beats any other indoor/outdoor thermometer I've had, which were often easily a degree off. The temperature reading also coincides with another thermometer I have which I trust to be accurate. The temperature display is precise to a tenth of a degree. Hygrometer: The humidity reading is as much as three percentage points off from a calibrated hygrometer (via Boveda calibration). The Thermor can not be calibrated.. Display: The display of the indoor unit could be more smartly designed: it's a bit messy, with lines which are apparently supposed to represent a house and roof eaves to indicate which readings are indoors and which outdoors. The clock numerals are smaller than the temperature and humidity numerals, but perfectly readable. The date also displays, as does the moon phase. Aesthetics: Aesthetically, otherwise, it's a plastic housing which is lightweight and doesn't have a particularly classy look or feel, but that doesn't make it all that different from the typical alarm clock you'd put next to your bed. Overall, if you want to wake up and see the outdoor temperature without leaving the mattress, this is a nice little piece -- alarm clock and temperature next to your bed (and yes, it has a snooze bar). It can read up to three separate outdoor sensors -- I'm not sure why that's useful, unless you put one downstairs, one upstairs, one in the attic -- and you can toggle through them. And of course if you had three of these, they could each read off the same outdoor sensor . Just remember when you first receive it, be patient -- wait at least an hour, and maybe two, for the temperature readings to reach the right reading.

Bios Fails in 6 months
I rarely write negative reviews but feel compelled to say a few comments on this thermometer . I initially liked the light up button feature. It made the devise easy to read. Recently the screen has started to fade in and out. I realize this was not an expensive thermometer but expected it to work for more than 6 months. I'm changing brands and will spend more for hopefully a better unit . Save your money, buy another brand.

Excelent multiuse thermometer with oustanding service
Does everytrhing it claims to do. I gave it 5 stars not so much because of its quality (very good) but because of the customer service backing it. I bought this unit because it was the only one which advertised extra senders. I wanted to replace a Radio Shack model which originally had 3 senders but 2 (1 inside & 1 outside ones) had died on me. I like to monitor my upstairs bedroom and my basement office as well as outside. When I asked Amazon how to order additional senders, they said they only sold the base (& outside unit) and not additional senders. When I received the unit, I found that the manufacturer was Thermor Ltd.in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. I found their website at [...] but the senders were not shown or listed. I called the contact number (1-800-387-8520) and spoke to Lauren Campbell (ext 6108)who got the part number for me (312TX) and price ($5 ea.) and I emailed her my credit card information and an order for 3 units (one for a spare). Two weeks later, not having heard anything, I emailed her again and, less than 2 hours later, got the following response, "I apologize for the delay- we were waiting for the product to arrive. Because it has taken longer than expected, we will have these 3 units sent out to you at no charge." and she did. They arrived 1 week later. That's Quality Service! BTW I've had no trouble receiving any of the 3 sensors placed on 3 levels of my house which all corresponded to the base unit within 5 minutes of having the batteries inserted. If you place the unit next to the base while inserting the battery, the sync time is very short. My experience leads me to believe that if you have had a bad experience with this unit, Thermor wouild do whatever necessary to make it right.

Cute but won't sync
Liked it at first but after about a month it started losing the sync. And this with indoor/outdoor units being approximately 6 ft apart.Unfortunately I waited too long to return. Would not recommend.

Good but battery hog
I like it, it does the job very well, accurate. My only complaint is battery life. I only get a few days on rechargables, they could have put a power connector and made it better. I only use rechargeable on the unit that goes inside the house the outside unit uses regular alkaline batteries and I have not replaced those yet. But it's very nice. Screen is bright and it has a light if you need to see it at night. I have to replace the batteries enough that I don't worry about setting the clock. I use rechargeable for cost. There was a review about setting the inside and outside units near each other for a few hours before setting them up, inside the unit that goes outside there is a button with tx above it. Feel free to press it and your inside unit have the same information as the outside unit.

Don't Buy it!
Cannot read the measurements for temperature or humidity.......vague and unless you hold or place the unit just so, it is unreadable and therefore useless. I would like to return it but apparently I have gone beyond the one month window of return. Unhappy! It was easy to set up and the outdoor gauge is easy to read......but as I said...unusable.

Médiocre
Le pire thermometre que j'ai vu. J'ai placé la sonde exterieur a 2 metres du recepteur interieur et ça ne fonctionne pas. Le signal ne passe pas a travers une porte patio.

Problem with the sensor
It has difficulty maintaining the remote signal. I have a second sensor from another Bios product and it picks up a signal from that one just fine but it is always losing the signal from the sensor it arrived with. I have moved this sensor a number of times but it continues to lose the signal and display two dashes. The other functions on this thermometer work okay.

Deficiente
Le he cambiado las pilas dos veces en menos de un mes. El display se ve mal, como si no tuviera baterías. La conexión con el sensor remoto se pierde y se conecta esporádicamente. Busque la página del fabricante y no existe para este equipo. Lástima.
