I Miss The Original Aria
The original Aria scale was so cool. I just stepped on the scale and the weight/% body fat just showed up in the Fitbit app. With this new Aria Air scale, I have to manually open the app, step on the scale, and manually save my weight. It works well but is not as easy as the original product. For years I have not dumped my Fitbit for an Apple watch because I had the integration of the Fitbit watch with the Fitbit scale. Now that the Fitbit scale is not so powerful, I may rethink my choice.

Nice digital scale, but weight only
It's a very nice digital scale, but that's it. Based on the price, I was under the impression that it provided BMI and body fat percentage as well, but does not. Bluetooth to auto enter into Fitbit app is nice, but ultimately unnecessary. I would happily trade that functionality for body fat and BMI. Nice scale though. Easy to use and highly accurate.

Fitbit App Not Necessary
I checked this scale measuring a set of weights I knew were exactly 10 pounds, and it came out correct. Tried weighing myself with and without the 10 pounds of weights, and it performed as expected. So as far as I can tell, it works. The most important thing for me is that no app or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection is necessary. I don't have a Fitbit (or a Fitbit account), and none of that was required. All I did is take it out of the box, pull the tab for the batteries, set it on the floor, and weigh myself. Simple as can be. I didn't need or want Wi-Fi/Bluetooth syncing—I just wanted a scale that looked nice and didn't give me measurements for anything other than weight—so I can't comment on whether the connectivity works. But if you're looking for a simple scale that looks nice, you can't go wrong with the Fitbit Aria Air.

Fails to do 50% of its job
I'll give you the tl;dr right up front: It fails to sync consistently (which is its primary role over a standard scale), so its going back. Full Review I've been tracking my weight and calories for a hot minute now using Fitbit, so I decided to add a smart scale to the mix to make it even easier. I just wanted something that I could accurately weigh myself on and have it automatically tracked on the app. This seemed to fit the bill, so I tried it out and found myself frustrated and disappointed. The good: -It looks and feels great. Very minimalist look that's easy to read with no fluff. Sits flat and doesn't budge. 1 star for that. -It seems to be as accurate (or at least consistent) as my current bathroom scale down to the .1 decimal place. Another star. The indifferent: -No other data other than weight. That's totally fine for my use case, but just something to know. -This is a Bluetooth smart scale, which means that the app must be open on the phone you wish to record the weight to. (It apparently can support multiple users and that's how it knows who is on the scale.) Its a little clunky compared to a wifi scale, but I knew that's what I was getting when I ordered it. I'd be perfectly fine with that setup, except.... The awful: -This thing will. not. sync. with the Fitbit app with any consistency. What is supposed to happen is you open the app, you step on the scale, and a popup opens to have you confirm the weight. It will do this, but only once immediately after the initial setup, and never again without a lot of manual persuasion. If you look this up, this has been an ongoing issue with this thing for years with no answer other than "turn BT off and back on, close and open the app, force stop the app and reopen, powercylce the scale, uninstall (?!?) the app and reinstall it, etc etc." The only thing that worked for me was to pull the batteries from the scale, wait a few seconds, put it back in, then immediately use it. But I have to do this every single time to get it to sync and that takes more effort than just typing in my weight manually. You might be thinking, "Hey dummy, did you try updating the firmware??" Yes, yes I did in fact. In order to update firmware, you have to download a completely separate app specifically for that (and good luck finding that in their documentation). Then, you have to hold a button (actually a touch sensitive nub on the back) until the "OtA" message shows up. In theory, the app and the scale will find each other and update, but guess what? They never seem to be able to do that. So you end up in this loop of needing the firmware update to fix the connectivity issue, but the connectivity issue prevents you from updating firmware. Really well thought out there... Maybe Fitbit support has more answers than their web presence would lead you to believe, but I'm not even going to bother at this point. There are dozens of smart scales that perfectly integrate with Fitbit, so I'll try one of those instead. I'd recommend you skip this and seek another option.

Decent scales, but overpriced
It looks good, got it set up in moments and been working great so far although only for a week by this point. I'll hold off on verdict regarding the accuracy of the measurements. Based on one other scale used at the gym (when I was fully clothed and therefore slightly heavier), this Aria seems to be overly pessimistic and I weigh more on the Aria than the gym scales which put me at a few hundred grams less, despite being clothed vs not. Not sure which scale is inaccurate in this case. Main thing is consistency - so as long as the scales' bias is fixed, and you measure yourself in a consistent way, it's still useful. For £43 you'd probably want something a *bit* more than just 'it syncs seamlessly'. That said the app integration is very good and I am a fan of the app generally. Assuming you have your phone nearby it syncs up very quickly, although I personally wouldn't mind manually entering my measurement since you still need to confirm it on the app anyway. If you're that lazy or time-stretched, I guess that's a plus, but it's minor. I was wondering how/if these scales measure body-fat percentage, and the answer seems to be that it guesses based on your weight and provided height and sex. Ultimately this is less accurate than an actual sensor, which I was hoping would come provided for £43. Overall, a good product, let down by price. It's charging more than the competition for what I personally regard as very little tangible benefit. For the reader, whether or not you should buy it comes down to how much you rate/buy into the Fitbit ecosystem already. If you use the app/a watch extensively like I do and are in the market for a 'smart' scale (I use that term generously here) then you can't go too wrong with these scales. I'd seriously consider the alternatives though.

Works well with the Fitbit app
Records your weight accurately and easily connects to the Fitbit app… only records your weight and not fat% etc. but neither does the Fitbit app.

Does NOT do what it says on the tin!
Fitbit Aria Air? A complete waste of time and money. Doesn't deliver against a single promise on the box... 1: Easy smartphone set up = Yes, but.. Only syncs to the fitbit app once, and then never again (sometimes Yes after resetting, but not always) 2: Works with multiple users = No, didn't get this far as can't get it working with one user nevermind multiple (see #1) 3: Displays & tracks weight = Yes it displays weight, tracks it? No (see #1) (again) 4: Sends stats to Fitbit app = No (see #1) (again) (again) 5: Syncs to your Fitbit app = No (you know where to look by now) 6: Works alongside Fitbit trackers = No (works at all regardless of whether you have had the misfortune of purchasing other Fitbit products would be nice) In summary... Avoid purchasing one! Unless of course you love nothing more than resetting and reconnecting devices your smartphone on a daily basis? In that case buy two.

Simple, Accurate, Easy to set-up!
I've had this scale for almost a month now - It's really useful to know your body weight/progress and being able to see all the trends in the app is very motivating for my fitness journey. I started hard weight training about 1 month ago and use this scale as a way to track my progress. I have to say that I am quite pleased with how well it records results and communicates with the app – I haven't ever had a single issue with the accuracy, app sync or Bluetooth function. · The app tracks the weight whenever you use it - so I have a record of every measurement it's taken since I started using it. You will get your weight, and the scale will send this data to the app over Bluetooth where your BMI will be calculated and graphed. · A great feature for families or flatmates is that the app can store and track the data of multiple users via the same device or on different devices. This feature makes it possible for several people in a household to use this scale to understand their health better. ???? Using it is simple: Turn ON the app on your phone -> Step on the scale -> Wait for the prompt from the phone, and you're done! ☑ Pros: ✔ Multi-user friendly ✔ Automatic sync ✔ Stable Bluetooth connection ✔ 3 AAA batteries included ✔ Excellent build quality ❎ Cons: - The app options/settings could have been better designed and organised All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase.
