As a side-sleeper, I am a strong advocate of having some form of a good knee pillow to support your lower back while sleeping. I hated using regular bed pillows for this because of how much extra space they took up in the bed, plus 'losing' them during the night when one moves around or turns over. I purchased this knee pillow to try out because of it's pretty good reviews and it's low cost, especially as I wasn't sure it was the size/type I'd really end up liking. I truly believe this is a case of the opinions/ratings being dependent on the buyer, not the quality (or lack thereof) of the item. My findings: Pros - Pillow seems well-made and of dense enough foam to not lose it's support during use. Pretty much everything it advertised was accurate. Excellent price point, especially with Prime shipping. Cons - (For me) It was a bit too large, overall and especially in the midsection where it goes between your knees/legs. This might not be the case for a larger person (especially a male). The material of the cover (and possibly the foam insert) made it much too warm to use on a warm summer evening (I live in a beach town in Calif., not TOO warm at night but not using A/C either). I ended up purchasing the Contour Cool model instead, which I am much happier with from both a 'cooling' standpoint as well as it is a little smaller than this one. It did cost nearly twice as much in price though. But worth it, given the added comfort level for me.

Extra firm, plush removable cover

Dang! This thing is FIRM. I would say that it is *almost* too firm for me... I have woken a couple times in the night and had to readjust this cushion, because it felt like it wasn't just keeping my knees from turning in together, but keeping them spread further than natural, and actually turning my hips outward. I don't know about you, but I don't like to feel like I'm doing ballet exercises when I'm laying in bed. For the most part, though, this is a very nice cushion. I would rather have it feel slightly too firm on the odd occasion, than have it compress into the thickness of a few sheets of paper after a couple minutes' use. The quilted cover is very plush feeling, without any of that stereotypical slick/greasy feel that some cheap polyester has. Because it is a combination of synthetic fiber and synthetic foam, both of which insulate and retain body heat, this might be slightly uncomfortable on hot nights, but on cold ones could only be a blessing. Since this pillow is primarily intended for function and not form, the aesthetics probably won't matter to most people... But if looks *do* matter, the cover is a nice shade of blue, and it won't be unsightly if one has to leave it sitting out near one's sleeping place.

My Daughter Likes it, BUT,...

My daughter always has had to use a knee pillow of some sort because, when she was in first grade, she had multiple hip surgeries that cause her hip not to move side to side well. When lying on her side, the one leg can't rest comfortably against the other without putting strain on the hip, and popping a pillow between her knees makes all the difference. The problem with most pillows is that when she rolls over at night, she loses them. So I bought this as a gift for her, hoping it would help keep the pillow in place while she sleeps. My experience with it was that it was soft, squishy, durable and the color was nice. My daughter says: I love it! The only problem I have with it is that it's got the memory foam, which is great, but it compresses a lot while using and it takes a long time for it to get its shape back and not be 'smooshed' before I can use it again. This helps it keep its shape at night, I guess, but if I move or change position, it doesn't fill back up full as fast as I'd like it to. Other than that, she loves it, and likes it a lot better than using a regular pillow for knee support.

Perfect for the side sleeper who rolls over a lot

On the recommendation of my doc, I've been side sleeping with a pillow between my knees for the last seven months. While it did the job keeping my hips level and easing my lower back pain, it was bulky and disruptive to my sleep. Every time I rolled over (which I do a lot during the night), I would halfway wake up because the pillow would get tangled in the sheets and I'd have to adjust it. When I finally decided to see if there was something smaller I could use in its place, I was happy to find the Carex pillow. It looked to be the exact size and shape I needed. As it turns out I was right! It fits perfectly between either my knees or a little higher on the thigh and it stays put during the night, even when I roll over. Its shape allows it to just roll with me and because it's small, it doesn't get tangled in the sheets. I have slept SO much better since I got it a month ago. I read some reviews about it losing its shape quickly so I was a little concerned about that. It MAYBE is a little less "full" in the morning after being used all night, but it seems to bounce back and still provides enough cushion and leveling during the night for my needs. My back feels much better in the morning than it used to. I've seen some high priced pillows advertised especially for side sleepers with back issues (as much as $300), but for the price, I don't think you can beat the Carex. Even if I had to buy one a year because it lost its shape over time, it would be worth it.

Fantástica Almohada para mis rodillas

Me alinearon la columna. Una de las recomendaciones para dormir, fue que durmiera de lado en postura fetal, usando entre las piernas a la altura de las rodillas una almohada para mantener la linea de la columna vertebral. Esta almohada es confortable, pues no guarda el calor. Esta hecha de memory foam suave. Se adapta y moldea fácilmente; aunque de entrada la veas muy alta (o grande). Cuenta con una cubierta azul con ziper por lo que la cubierta puede lavarse. Luego de algunas semanas de uso, la almohada no ha perdido su forma. Estoy muy satisfecha con la calidad, funcionalidad y precio del producto.

RECOMENDABLE

Padezco de dismetría, la verdad nunca me di cuenta hasta que hace 2 años por el desgaste ocasionado en mi cadera la columna se me desvío, ahora tengo que usar un alza en uno de mis pies y me recomendaron dormir en pose fetal con un cojín entre mis piernas, el producto es cómodo tiene una funda para que se pueda lavar, el zipper que tiene no molesta ya que cuando la colocas queda a los lados.

Excelente producto

Usualmente no llego a hacer una reseña de un producto que no haya probado y/o usado previamente. Adquirí este producto debido a una cirugía que tuve después de la misma seguí usándolo y se me hace muy cómodo y util para descansar y dormir. Debido a lo anterior es que lo recomiendo.

Excelente producto. Es la segunda que compro pues tengo problemas de artritis en mis rodillas y con ella logró dormir y descansar sin dolor. Definitivamente la recomiendo. Súper duradera y cómoda.

Esta almohada me encanta, es un tanto incómoda al principio porque sí es muy alta pero después de un tiempo mis rodillas me lo agradecieron. En mi familia ya hemos comprado 3 hasta el momento.
