Perfect thinner candles for holiday decorating!
I needed thinner candles for a holiday centerpiece, and ordered these with my fingers crossed. The usual 1 inch tapers are too big for my centerpiece, and I was tired of shaving off the bases so they would fit. These arrived quickly and fit perfectly in the 1/2" holes! I lit one just to see how they burn (I didn't want smoke and dripping wax on Christmas day) and I was very pleased. They have good quality wax that burns slowly, and wicks that stay lit and don't smoke. They are also a very nice red color to coordinate with Christmas decorations. Just be sure you understand that these are NOT the standard size of taper candles you normally see in stores. They are 1/2" at the base and 10 inches long.

Perfect for taller German pyramids
The media could not be loaded. These were exactly what I needed for my tall (5 tier) German pyramid. I couldn't figure out why it never turned unless it was tucked away into a corner away from any air movement. My daughter suggested I get taller candles (doh!), so I ordered these and I'm happy to say that it worked like a charm. They were a hair too narrow for the little brass cups, so that they didn't want to stand up straight on their own, but a little ball of sticky stuff on the bottom and they were good to go. I actually prefer the width of these candles to the width of the ones I originally had in there that in retrospect were probably a little too wide. I was always having to shove them in, which resulted in getting little splinters of wax everywhere. Once these candles burn down far enough that they don't turn my tall pyramid anymore, I'll probably move them over to use in my shorter pyramid. I am going to order another set to have on hand when that happens.

Great Candles for the Right Candelabra
Sorry to tell the other reviewer: You got it wrong. These candles are wonderful when you need the exact straight-line (not a taper) candle with a half-inch base. I have an old Christmas candelabra that is made for the height and circumference of these candles, which are in the perfect shade of holiday red in the cranberry color. So glad I finally found -- they are hard to find because of their size and use -- just the right fine candles on Amazon for a decent price. I couldn't use the traditional centerpiece my family had on the dining table for many Christmases without them.

Excellent quality
These candles are an exact fit for the candle holders that my mother brought from Germany. Also, the quality is excellent, they are dripless and do last for hours. I've only had a few that dripped (usually as they burnt down to the end). Now, if only I could find candles to fit my mexican candle holders.

nice color
While I ordered these for the color, I was disappointed that the color was not solid thru out, white middle,and a little skinnier than wanted, they did arrive when promised

Nice color but too thin
The color is really nice, but it is too thin it does even fit to my candle holder. Too thin and narrow.

Great quality
Just what I was looking for. Have antique spindles that I use for candlesticks in an arrangement and they fit perfectly.
