Perfect!

Heavy, thick glass. This is the type of shot glass you see on TV where the guy chugs the booze down and then slams it on the bar counter without breaking. I really love the measurements for less than a normal-sized shot, too.

Good value for a set of sturdy shot glasses

It’s nice to have a set of shot glasses for small gatherings, and these Houdini branded glasses are classic sturdy vessels that will last forever but in the event they do get broken, with the price of these you won’t be bawling. Before ordering, note the size. These are 1.2 ounces, which is slightly less than typical / standard for a shot at 1.5 oz. Some 1.5 oz shot glasses will hold even more, closer to 2oz. These Houdini branded glasses are good for downing higher proof shots. What I like about these glasses: - They are a lot heavier than I thought they were going to be. There is an inch of solid glass each one sits on to provide weight and keep them from tipping over. - They clean up easily - soap/water or should survive the dishwasher. - This set would make a good gift for a stock the bar party. - These are inexpensive / a good value. What I don’t like as much: - These are very plain - there is no etched or molded pattern into the glass, no fancy shape, or anything, It’s pretty basic and classic. Only one had a tiny pinpoint bubble in the glass, otherwise there were no flaws. - Due to only a slight fluted shape, there is no way for these shot glasses to stack in each other. We are storing them in the box they came in and will wash them before we have people over to use them. Overall, these will come in handy for a small informal gathering where you want to have real shot glasses instead of plastic ones.

I use it for mixed drinks

This is the ONLY shot glass in my house. I never felt the need to use one before since I always eyeball my drinks when I mix them. My wife and daughter think I make them too strong (wimps), but they love my fuzzy navels which call for peach vodka and OJ. So, in order to make them both happy, I now make the drinks using this shot glass to measure. Perfect every time... At least to them anyways.. I still eyeball my own and like em a little more powerful.. but that's me.. 5 stars on this one, thanks guys.

Good set of shotglasses

This is a good-quality set of shot glasses. Capacity is 1 oz each (some shotglasses actually hold more). The thick base provides a nice weight and helps keep the glasses upright when slammed down on the table after a fiery shot of Russian moonshine. Also useful for toasting the Czar or hurling into an open fireplace after draining (although this will cut down the life expectancy of the glass).

Heavy, classic shot glasses. They're the traditional size and shape, weighted heavily towards the base for stability. Just glass, no fancy crystal, but you're likely not contemplating the color & viscosity of your shot for very long before downing it. Nothing lost. You know those movie scenes (or those bar nights) where they line up all the shots, and the protagonist takes them one by one, setting each glass down with a firm THONK on the wooden bar? Yeah, that's the kind of glasses these are. Each glass holds the tiniest bit more than an ounce, meaning you should fill these up. Folks who like plus-size shots (ahem, my other shot glasses hold more like 1.5oz) will just have to take more than one. Recommended.

Fun and functional shot glass

I do not drink hard alcohol very often and am often somewhat at a loss when asked to make a cocktail or specific mixed drink. Although the current price of $9.54 might seem a bit high, I think it is well worth the money. It features two clearly marked measurements of 1 oz. and 1.5 oz. and has a heavy base that minimizes the chances of tipping or spilling. It's easy to wash by hand and is attractive enough to display. This shot glass would make a great housewarming gift ... especially if attached to a bottle of whiskey or bourbon for your friends who enjoy the hard stuff.

Excellent quality basic shot glasses.

This review is for the Houdini 6-Pack Heavy Base Shot Glass Set, 1.2oz Shot Glasses. These are basic clear 1.2 oz size shot glasses. They are very well made with thick glass, sturdy, and look classy. They hold a shot of liquor. There are six glasses included at an excellent price. I would recommend these. These are for drinking from, and I would not recommend using these for the mixing of drinks.
