Nice Rack but doesn't the fit bottles it is pictured with.

I had to test many spice racks before I found one that worked for me.. well sort of. I purchased another rack that was pictured with the same Olde Thompson spice bottles that are pictured with this rack (they are available at Bed Bath Beyond) I fell in love with the look. Ordered the rack and went to my local BBB and got the jars. Turned out to be a total fail when I realized the rack was too wide for my cabinet and it also didn't fit the bottles it was pictured with. The bottles (which are made of glass) just flopped around waiting for a disaster to happen. The space where the bottles sit was way too big. Because I loved the Olde Thompson bottles I decided to return the rack and got this one instead. Unfortunately the Olde Thompson bottles (also pictured here with this item) do not fit this rack either- again the space is too big. The bottles are way too small... I finally decided I would never find a rack that would fit these bottles so I decided to give up on the bottles and keep this rack. I opted for the Ikea 365+ spice bottles (4 pk for 3.99 at Ikea- I tried these based on a review for the first rack I had ordered) lucky for me I have an Ikea near me so I went to my local store to pick up the bottles. They were a perfect fit for this rack. I purchased chalk labels and placed them on my jars- they look amazing. My only complaint about this rack is that it's a bit wide for my cabinet doors- I now realize that ideally you should have an extra space of about 3-5 inches from the outer edges- I mounted these side by side (one on each door) and there is very little room left over (about an inch) from the edge of door and when I close both doors the racks overlap, so now I now have to open and close both doors at the same time or the racks crash into each other. Yes a pain but since I want to mount two more above these I can't really stagger them so I don't have any other options. I could move to another cabinet with wider doors and not have this problem but placement wouldn't be as convenient (the larger cabinets are not directly next to the stove) so for now I think I will just keep them where they are. If it becomes a huge problem I may have to rethink my placement. Also another thing to keep in mind is this rack will take up about 3 inches of cabinet space so you have to make sure you have that area cleared so the doors will close. I remedied this by placing it a little higher on the cabinet door so the rack actually sits above the other spice bottles that are inside the cabinet (placed on a three tier shelf). The benefit to this rack as opposed to the two or three tier racks is that you can space them out the way you want to make sure they don't bump into your shelves. That is probably the best benefit. Make sure you test out the space before you drill holes! I almost made that mistake when trying to mount mine only to realize that once door closes the jars were hitting the shelf in the cabinet. Thank goodness I started off with command strips instead of screws! Yes, I did try to mount these with the mini clear Command strips (based on another review) and it looked like it would do the job but in the end I got scared (Ikea jars are glass) and decided to put in two small screws instead. I did use the command strips for the middle to help with movement when the cabinet door is opened and closed. Note: I used my own screws since the ones with the package were too long- I think they are meant for walls. Make sure you get a screw that is long enough to penetrate the cabinet door but not so long that it will cut through the front of your cabinet! Overall I am happy and I am now waiting for the two additional shelves.

Well Organized Spices!

I researched so many spice racks its not even funny, trying to find the perfect one to fit into my kitchen cabinet. I currently have a corner cabinet, with a lazy susan the height of the cabinet, where I keep all my spices. This was NOT working because: a) a bottle would fall behind the back of the lazy susan, b) the spices would get lost behind other bottles because the depth of the lazy susan was so big, c) the spices were never together so I may "think" I was out of something, but the bottle was lost (had fallen behind the lazy susan or I just didn't see it) and would end up wasting money and buying another bottle, even though I didn't really need it. This definitely worked for me... I purchased four of them, which allowed me to stagger them on the cabinet door so I wasn't hitting the edge of the lazy susan. I was able to fit 7 small bottles on one rack and 7 larger sized bottles on another.

Great product for the price

I chose these racks for looks, price, and size. I wanted single racks so I could customize the placement for different bottle sizes, and because I have adjustable shelves inside my cabinet and needed to put them at specific heights. I bought three and mounted them on the inside of my kitchen cabinet door. They work great. The racks work with both normal and jumbo size spice bottles that you'd find at a regular grocery store. Normal size bottles rattle around a bit when I open/close the door, but they don't fall out. My only gripe is that they come with very long screws (and associated drywall plastic anchors) that are pretty much useless (unless you want to mount on a wall or happen to have amazingly thick cabinet doors). But I had suitable, shorter screws on hand so it was no big deal.

Perfect for Spices

I love these racks. They are perfect for organizing spices in the kitchen. I recently moved from a house that has an extra corner cabinet that was perfect for all of my "40" spices, so at the new house with not as much space, these racks were perfect to mount on the wall next to the stove to save space & organize. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star was that I has ordered 5 of these then realized I needed 2 more and when I went to reorder just a couple of weeks later, the price has jumped $4.03 each! So I ended up paying for 2 what I had just paid for 5.

Perfect Size

I just wanted a rack to sit on the counter to hold the spices that I used regularly. This rack worked perfectly for me it is the exact size I needed.

Organized cook

Purchased the shelf in addition to others I ordered as a set from another vendor. Needed only one more and this is the only one I found to purchase as a single shelf to match the ones I purchased as a set. Easy to install. 2 screws mounted to the inside of my pantry door. Holds 6 spice bottles.

Good rack, needs a few mods

We had to modify the mounting brackets to make it more firm against the doors of the cabinets. I also wish there was a liner or something to help with the rattle of the glass on metal, not a deal breaker, but its a tad annoying. You can see the white pieces of plastic we used to hold the rack in place on the sides.

Not a good choice for a cupboard door; description should state is for wall-mount only

The quality is good, but I was really looking forward to installing several of these on the inside of my cupboard door. Turns out that this isn't a practical choice. The main reason is because the jars fit so loosely within the shelf that opening and closing the cupboard causes loud rattling and jostling of the spice jars against each other. Also, there was no hardware included to install this on a cupboard door (you'd have to go to a hardware store and buy it yourself) -- they provide only long screws that are obviously meant for wall installation only.

They look great, super easy to assemble

I cannot believe we went this long without buying these spice rack shelves for our space. They look Amazing and are perfect. I bought 5 of them in total and all packages came with everything we needed to install and hang them, they look so good in our kitchen and hold our spices perfectly! So happy I found these -

Nice Little Spice Rack....

Quick Review: Perfect addition to our trailer. Nice finish, good looking, well built, holds 6 spices. Saves a bit of space in our limited cabinetry. What else can be said? Good value for the price. I'd buy another if needed.

Nice spice rack but you will need more than one if you have a lot of spices. They should offer a longer size. It's stainless steel so you really can't go wrong. I used nails to install. Easy Peasey.

A great buy!

I moved into a house with a tiny pantry. I came from a large house with a walk-in pantry. My husband and I love to cook and I was having a problem finding spices which were stashed everywhere in our new house because lack of storage. I ordered these as a Hail Mary in hopes of a temporary fix but I’m so pleased with them I just ordered two more as a permanent fix! They are a great size, sturdy and seems to fit a variety of jar sizes. Exactly what I needed!
