Watch the video!

This was the second seat I ordered because the first was the elongated. Reorderer the round. No instructions were included so my husband decided to wing it. After a long time of frustration and a bloody finger he gave up and decided it didn't fit right. But we watched another video saying all toilet seats in the US are two sizes, and then found where I ordered the seat, and there is a video. After watching it, he went back and completed the installation in less than 5 minutes. Needless to say, don't be like us, watch the video first!

Solid, good price and fits oblong toilet

Needed a new toilet seat with cover for our Toto oblong shaped toilet. Old seat had the slow close technology but started squeezing over time as it closed. Bought this and liked the price and it fit! Only complaint is on our part since we are used to the old slow close, did not now how hard we were absently shutting the seat and boy did it slam! Added Scotch SP950-NA Bumpers and Door Stops, 1/2" clear Round, two to the bottom of the seat and one on top of the tank, where the lid would sit when open. Now all is well. When cleaning- DO NOT use bleach on this product. Will eat the paint.

Put bolts in toilet first!!!

Great product! To save a lot of wasted time watch the video first then follow the steps in the pdf directions. At first we put the bolts through the seat but the covers would not clip on. I then found the video in the product support area and it shows to put the bolts on first, then attach the seat over the bolts, then snap on the covers. If you follow those steps it takes 5 minutes to install. We just ordered another for a 2nd toilet. The seat is very good quality and solid, not cheap plastic.

Best mounting system I've seen on any toilet lid.

This is a wood toilet seat. So a bit heaver than I was expecting. However, it made installation of screws for standoffs possible (no stickers that fall off) ... which was needed after installing a luxe 185 bidet (awesome). With the silicone based standoffs installed, the seat is not perfectly balanced and does not feel as heavy. The big thing with this lid is the way it installed to the toilet. Some obsolutely TOP NOTCH hardware makes installed and removal (for cleaner) A BREEZE. For the price, this way better than the plastic lids we have bought in the past. It does not have SLOW CLOSE, so be aware if someone drops the lid ... it's not a good idea. But overall, great toilet seat and good quality ... the wood construction make installed bumpers possible, so a perfect choice if you installing a bidet (which raises the lid and will break the lid if you do not balance the sides and front with bumpers).

Good seat

Quality is good, made in USA. Solid wood and very heavy. That is my only issue. I don't like when heavy toilet seats slam loud when closing. Maybe it is just a personal thing. I wonder if it could be made out of a lighter weight wood. Very good value.

NOT for oval toilets!!

Great quality especially for the cheap price. I bought this thinking it was the same shape as my toilet but after opening the box, I realized it wouldn’t have covered my whole toilet. I planned on returning it since I have no use for a circular toilet seat but there was a shipping fee and that just wasn’t worth it because after shipping costs, my refund would’ve been less than $10. So now I have a random toilet seat just sitting in my closet

Good quality!

I needed a replacement after my old seat broke. I was happy to find this one at a good price! I love the easy install…the hinges slide over the bolt and lock in place. Easy to remove if you have to clean! Never had one like that before. Happy with purchase!

Sturdy and good quality for price

This is a well made product that is easy to install and remove to clean the toilet as it locks on and off (see photos). The bolts seem to be high quality plastic with a extra lock in place feature. I recommend as my previous one was all plastic and never stayed tight to the toilet bowl.

Love this solid comode seat, and the great customer service.

First seat arrived promptly, however had a crack in one of the hinges. It was shipping/packaging error, as the cracked hinge was folded back, and had not been packaged properly. The second one arrived before I could get the original in the box and shipped back. Excellent customer service. Love this seat! Properly installed, it's solid and so easy to remove for cleaning. Feels great when in use and fits my old style standard Toto round toilet. Was using a cheap plastic seat and this is SO much better!

Not suitable for UK market

Website did not advise on fixing centres - clearly this American product is for the home market of the USA. Screws at wrong centres for UK toilets. Will not be returning as the postage back to USA is cost prohibitive. Very poor information on your website - product itself appeared very sound and fit for purpose. BUYER BEWARE!

Don't buy

Purchased this as existing one was splashed with cleaner. Thought it would be a case of one off one on, no such luck. Really disappointed that no instructions are included. Will probably have to return.

Very good price and quality!

This was a very good purchase. The price, and product quality is so much better than the last, more expensive, seat we had. It is comfortable, never slides sideways, and holds up really well. It looks nice. It was very easy to install. I waited to post these comments to see how well it would hold up. I recommend this seat.

Good Quality

I bought the 'Bemis 500EC 390 Lift-Off Round Closed Front Toilet Seat' in 'Cotton White.' The color is crisp, bright, and clean. The seat fits well, and it's very sturdy! The package doesn't come with installation instructions (a bit of logic and intuition helps here, but it's simple once you figure out how to install it), and the hinges require a bit of elbow grease to get them open. Other than that, it's great overall, and I'm pleased with this product.
