Why did I buy it? I had to remove a football size wasp nest in a overgrown back garden, and even though I ordered this when it was sunny, and we've since had a lot of rain, the wasp nest is still very active and the wasps are pretty annoyed as I've been strimming the area around the nest. It's fair to say it was intimidating having all that buzzing around me, and wasps landing on me, but I didn't get stung although I'm sure they were trying. The stitching is tight but nothing is really hemmed, you do get a what you pay for, but the thread count is good and the material feels boiler suit thick, so not at all bad. Was everything perfect? Yes for the most part, it fitted well over jeans and a t-shirt. I'd ordered one so it was a little baggy for this reason. The elastic cuffs aren't tight, just snug, and the straps that sit under your feet and over your thumbs keep the legs and arms in place so they don't ride up during movement. There is a leg zip which I didn't use. and I had welly boots on so nothing was getting down there. I thought about taping up but didn't need too. The top front zip goes up higher than a regular boiler suit zip tucking up and in a little. Then throw the veil over and zip that correctly so the right zip ring tucks under the left zip which goes over it, then the velcro flap pulls down and prevents flying things getting inside and under. If you do this wrong you could end up with a gap that can allow a bug inside. This has been thought out quite well I think, you can even do this with gloves on as the rings are a good size. This is where a small 'no' comes in to play as there is a problem with the veil however in that it sits too close to the face and neck, such that my rather normal nose and cheeks were touching the veil whilst the cloth was close to my neck, there's lots of room, it's just sits too flat. You can overcome this tiny oversight by buying a rimmed hat and pulling the veil over the hat such that the rim of the hat keeps the veil open wide, and it's well worth doing that, maybe a cricketers hat or a panama hat or even a straw hat, as long as it has a 2-3" sturdy brim as this will be very helpful. Just remember, not all hats are washable, some have cardboard in the brim and go soggy when washed. Go for plastic, starched, heat treated or tight stitched fabric as you may sweat in this suit and that hat may need a wash since it keeps a lot of the sweat out of your eyes and face (I was using a strimmer and doing a lot of manual work at the time, if your just tending bees you shouldn't sweat lifting half a ton of honey outta a hive :) ), but either way, you don't really want to be touching your face as this could allow a bee/wasp close contact!, so anyway, I washed my suit at 30degC on a short 15min 'hand' wash with a gently 600 spin and hung to dry (I didn't need to wash the veil as the hat protected it). Overall however, with mad wasps flying around me for close on 45mins I gained more and more confidence and walked away with a wasp nest in a carrier bag ready to be frozen and disposed off without being stung once!
