Looks like a truck ran over it

Second purchase of this suit. Wanted the round vein so purchased this. It came stained with something black. Tried washing it out but it's stained. Disappointed. Purchased a second one to give a a birthday gift. Hoping that doesn't look the same.

Good quality for the price. Fits well. Highly recommend. Don't go cheap on bee jackets!

Works great!

Works great. It keeps me from worrying about the bees while I'm checking the hive. I've worn it on a 90 degree day and still felt relatively comfortable. My only gripes would be: 1. I'm 5'11" and 180 pounds, with broad shoulders. I ordered a large, and should have ordered an XL as most people advised. A little snug. But my fault. 2. The veil and hat can't be worn separate from the jacket. But that would probably increase the cost. Overall, though, I am happy with this product. It is well made, has pockets for keeping essentials, and keeps me from getting stung when I accidentally knock a pry bar into the hive because it was carelessly set on the hive box. I'm new to beekeeping and still working out a system for checking the hive.

Zipper problems

I really liked this jacket the first time I put it on. Comfortable, light weight…..but…. I have worn this jacket 3 times. Once when I got it to try the fit. The second time while installing a bee package into a hive. The third time I zipped it the zipper opened up during a hive inspection. Not the greatest time to have a zipper malfunction. Duck tape worked great. If I hadn’t past the return window this would be going back. Instead I’m shopping for zippers.

Good quality

I bought this for my 11 year old, he is almost 5 ft so I got the XS and it fit him perfectly, it’s thick and secure, the zipper seems to be a little bit on the cheaper side but I would just recommend being careful pulling on it and it should be fine.

good jacket

It was really hard for me to find a jacket that I could say was worth keeping. Finally, this one did it. It's a bit bulky but it fits and covers well. No complaints. It's not hot and does not cause sweating. Hat is a little of a challenge keeping in place (small to medium sized). I wear medium in jackets. I ordered a large in this and that worked well. Natural color is nice (preferred this over the bright white). I would recommend.

The vale is very small.

The vale is very small. I took a sting to the neck because of how close the vale screen is. There is very little room for error when turning your neck as the vale can pull against your skin. The jacket quality is good but I would only purchase again if the vale is larger.

Poor design

Hat brim diameter too small resulting in the mesh touching your face. I dealt with some aggressive bees last week. Believe it or not I got stung 19 times on my face and head through the mesh. This product has gone in the bin and as a beekeeper of long standing I would urge you not to buy it.

Nice colour and fit but the hat and veil are a little small - beware when working in it!

The jacket fits nicely and is a good quality cotton but it’s let down by the small brim on the hat which means that in the natural course of working, you’ll find the veil sitting flush on your face or neck - especially when bent over. It wasn’t a problem with my calm hives but if you’ve got a feisty hive, this would be a serious safety issue. Getting stung in the face and neck is really no joke. It would be better if they could reconsider the brim size on the hat. A real shame as the jacket is good.

Lack of Protection

Due to the small width of the hat brim the mesh is too close to your face and neck. Every time I have been stung whilst woking on the hives it is on the back of the neck and I have been fortunate not to be stung on the face. The jacket itself is well made from quality material but poor design of the hat and veil make this jacket inadequate.

3XL : I am a huge guy, and this coat is perfect for me

Male 35 yo, 330 pounds 5''11 I'm so glad about this product. I rarely buy clothes online because I'm a VERY big guy, with large shoulders. And I was very afraid this wouldn't fit and to my big surprise it was PERFEECT!! Also, I have A VERY BIG HEAD and was afraid about the hat size which is basically one size fits all and to my surprise, this was also very good in terms of size. The only cons is THIS THING IS HOT in the summer very thick material which will get you hot quickly! But It's okay for me I can deal with that since I live in a northern area this will be great for spring and fall. Thank you very much.

Great value

I like the thickness of the fabric as it definitely deters bees from stinging me. OTOH, it can get really warm working in it. On hot days a tee-shirt is recommended. There are other lighter fabrics which are probably more comfortable on hot days, and I guess the bees don't know the difference. I like the wide-brimmed "hat" from which the veil hangs. It keeps sun off my bald area. For some reason the first time I wore it, a bunch of bees decided to land on the top.
