Nice quality and detailing for the price

Nice quality and detailing for the price - not a premium grade piece of furniture by any means - but it looks good and worth minimally the price paid. Was well packed to prevent damage and easy to assembly. Its firm and comfortable.Its attractive and fits well with mid century mod and our modern styled shaker / mission. Its a walnut stain not cinnamon cherry as it appears in the image and the cushion is a very dark olive green dark grey - its one fo those colors where is takes on the tone of others around it so it s very flexible but it would not look good with dark grey - our other upholstery is reds, olives, browns, rusts and it looks happy with all of them

Love how stylish these chairs are

I love how stylish these chairs are. I have been coveting the Ankara Crate and Barrel chairs for a while but the money has been holding me off as I don't want to buy anything too expensive while I have little children running and jumping around. I purchased two of these for my living room to finish off a couch and love seat seating area they are wide and not too high so they highlight the 12 foot window they sit in front of and the design is beautiful-I put a small pillow to the side so that if someone sits in it they can put it behind their back but it doesn't cover up the design of the back. It took me less than a half hour to put them together. As to their longevity time will tell but for the money I am happy with the purchase. BTW you probably won't find yourself sitting in these chairs reading anytime soon its definitely more of a short sitting period or guest seating type of chair.

Great addition to the living room

I have had my eye on the Cratea and Barrel Ankara chair for a couple of years, but just haven't wanted to spend that much on occasional chairs. When I saw this chair on another website, I was sure I could get a great deal on it through Amazon, and I did! I bought two and they were delivered within a few days and were a cinch to put together - especially once I found the correct Allen wrench bit for my electric drill. I'm not a huge fan of the seat fabric. It's not bad, it just doesn't match my decor. I plan to recover the seat sometime in the near future. They are actually very comfortable. Not so much that I would hang out in one to read, but for sitting and visiting they are great. Overall these are a great value for the price and suit the exact need I wanted them for. They are sharp, modern, comfortable, and perfect for occasional use.

Chair color is not as pictured!

I ordered this chair to go with the teak furniture in my living room and dining room. The teak is an orangy-reddish brown color. This chair has much darker wood--more like walnut. I did a little research & found that "Malaysian Oak" is not oak at all. It is another name for rubber wood which is made from mature rubber trees which no longer produce latex. The wood must be properly treated to avoid insect infestations; it probably has been; but, no way to know for sure. The description & especially the picture are very misleading. I returned the two chairs I ordered. If you want dark brown or walnut-colored chairs, this is certainly a unique item.

Ikea quality

Great looking chairs but I wouldn't say they're no better than Ikea quality. Three areas to look out for: - Stain on the hard wood was inconsistent, so there were some areas that looked patchy. Easy to fix with some wood furniture stain markers. - When building the chairs the drill holes didn't fully line up. I ended up having to make 2 of the holes bigger to better secure a leg. - Chair cushions have a wood bottom making them sturdy but also a very tight fit to the frame. I almost cracked a leg trying to get the cushion in. Definitely puts a damper on my plans to reupholster them. I made the modifications to avoid having to haul this chair to the post office.

Sturdy, good comfortable design

Looked everywhere for a chair that was wider, had a cut out back (due to being in front of shelves and still being able to see items displayed) and close to the color of my shelving! This was PERFECT! The color is more of a golden cherry, a bit lighter than pictured. The seat is stiff, but comfortable and will soften with time. Easy to put together and sturdy construction. There were just a few tiny flaws-over cut marks on back in design (barely noticeable) and one on the front apron. Note-the price is way cheaper on Amazon.

Unbelievable quality for The Price❗️

We have been looking for the perfect chairs to finish our redecorating in the living room. We saw these chairs on line and took a chance since their price was incredibly reasonable. They are beautiful! The design is unique, the comfort is reflected in the quality of the material used for the wood and cushions. We are completely satisfied with the customer service as well. You will not be disappointed.

A Few Hickups..

I think it's a very pretty lounger and I would have nothing but good things to say, except the model I ordered wasn't the same version I received and the arms were broken at the adhered corners. The color is the darker version. The photo is of a more cherry color wood. They also have another color of this same chair on Amazon which is the one more similar to what I received.
