On the fence
I received this product as pictured. The silicone was shrink-wrapped for protection and nothing was damaged or appeared to be defective. Pros: Good quality leather. Unlike a ball-gag recently purchased, this is made with what I'm assuming is real, soft, yet sturdy leather. It's double-stitched and the inside (touching skin) side is broken in already for added comfort. The silicone is a definite plus texture-wise as it's firm for biting yet gentle on the teeth (unlike plastic). The buckle on this gag confused me initially only for me to realize it's designed to fit a small lock for added control, so it's an additional feature for those interested. The overall fit: I have an average sized head, and I would use the 3rd to smallest notch out of 7 total. So at least for the ladies, those with small to average sized heads should be okay with the fit there. Cons: The smell is something of personal preference. It's not a strong odor, especially when compared to a plastic gag. Personally however, I find the stronger smell of the plastic less unpleasant than the smell of silicone. I wouldn't get too hung on up on this as again it isn't a very potent smell and may go away with some hot water. Speaking of washing- unlike my other gag this one does not snap into place. In other words, it's one piece which means you have to clean it very carefully to avoid ruining the leather. Again, not a deal-breaker, but certainly annoying. Lastly, the gag itself is a bit large for me (no pun intended). I wasn't expecting it to be quite so big. In fact, I thought this would be a more comfortable fit than a ball gag that requires one to open wide. I was surprised to find it simply awkward because of its size. Perhaps if it was curved like a smiley-face it would feel a bit more ergonomic, but this shape will definitely make me pause for a moment of serious debate whether I purchase another bit gag in the future. So there you have it. With the exception of the very end of this review I'd say this is well-made and probably worth-while purchase.

Comfortable first bit gag, maybe not as strict as they claim...
I was very pleased with this bit gag. I have never had one before, and this one is very comfortable while still making it impossible to talk... or stop drooling :) I have a small head and some gags don't fit tightly around my head, but this one has a strap that easily adjusts to my size, and could even be made tighter. Like others have said, the bit is relatively soft (feels great in your mouth and on your teeth) and it might be possible to push it out of your mouth with your tongue if you really persistent. The lock on the fastener also seems like it would work okay, but isn't the most sturdy and someone could get out of it if they wanted. Overall I think this is a great gag for a beginner to intermediate level. Great introduction to bit gags. I don't think it would be strict enough for an advanced user who wants to be completely unable to remove the gag even with persistent effort.

Protects against teeth during impact play.
I'm a big fan of this gag. It's used for heavy punishment scenes to prevent teeth grinding. It produces drool rather quickly which can be a fun aesthetic. Seems durable; biting into the silicone quite hard (bearing in mind that human jaws can provide up to 300 pounds per squire inch of pressure) doesn't break the silicone, jut depress it a little bit and the depression pops back out. Silicone is easy to sterilize. The leather seems fine, though I wish there was a another notch on the small side because the gag can be popped out if attempts are made. Talking is rather intelligible so this isn't a silencing gag but I think that's a positive thing given this is for heavy impact scenes and verbal feedback/communication can be important. Great purchase. Definitely recommend to protect teeth and provide a fun aesthetics.

Not the Best From The Master Series Gags
This is one of their older designs and it really just isn't as good of quality as the more recent gags from the Master Series. In the recent big gags (the dog bone shaped ones) there is a solid core running through the silicon to keep it nice and stable. This one, it feels like you could probably bite through it if you sank your teeth in far enough. It's a little floppy but not terribly so. The strap is leather, which on one hand is nice, but on the other, it makes it hard to clean. In the newer models, it's 100% silicone, strap and all so you just rinse off the slobber and your good. Overall, I think this makes a GREAT training gag. Though if you are looking for something more hard core BDSM, you might as well just get the Dog Bone shaped bit gag from Master Series. I know it looks odd if puppy play isn't your thing, but the quality is there.

wow! great addition to the toy chest
If a bit of kink is your style, this will be a great addition to the toy chest. My wife was a little intimidated when i told her i was going to purchase this gag. However, when the time came to try it out, let's just say she absolutely loved it. This is a great item to strap on to your submissive. It enhances the state of mind for the submissive (complete loss of control) The dom gets the charge from seeing the sub give herself fully. By the way, unlike a ball gag this bit is very comfortable to wear. If you think this type of play may be interesting, definitely add this into the mix. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Great for what it is
This is a great gag, for what it is. It will not keep your partner quiet, it's a bit gag they don't even really keep a person from making full words. It does have the physiological feeling of being gagged. My wife loves the way it feels while she has it on. She enjoys the fact that I can still run my finger over her lips, or even kiss her with it The gag itself never had any unpleasant smell or taste that I have heard some other products like this have. We have only played with it a couple of times, but so far have not found anything that we do not like about this gag. I would highly recommend this product for anyone interested in exploring bondage

I have never had a bit gag - but I love gags! I have so many different ones but this was my first bit gag. I have to say, I love it! I used it all the time now, its my second favorite (who doesn't love a ball gag) Its easy to clean, fits well, well made.
