Darling swimsuit that is really well-made

I ordered a few pieces of swimwear from Sunshine 79 recently, and it's the best swimwear I have ever owned. The fabric is really nice quality, and each piece has washed up well (on gentle cycle, using Forever New detergent and laying flat to dry), with no shrinking or fading thus far. I'm just under 5'4", 32DD, 121 pounds, and an hourglass shape, and the size 8 fits me well and is not too big. The straps are a bit thin for my bust size, but the suit still provides decent support. I ordered it in the rainbow print since it reminds me of the late 70's prints I wore as a child, and it's really vibrant and fun.

Love the blue toned tropical pattern - wish they offered a smaller size.

I have the Sunshine 79 "Black/Zodiac" one piece and love that suit so much that I decided to order this suit and a couple of other pieces from the brand. I chose the "Sky/Fresh Blooms" style and it's such a unique suit. The pattern is so fun and the blue tones look great with my fair and cool-toned complexion. The gold accents add extra visual interest. The cut of this bathing suit is so flattering. It has high-cut leg openings that make my legs look a mile long and my butt look great. The sweetheart neckline is gathered in the middle with a gold ring. The high back keeps this suit quite modest up top and gives the focus to the legs and butt. The cups are lightly padded with removable cups. The neck strap is removable to make this suit strapless. The strap is not adjustable and I wish it were, I need it to be shorter. For reference, I am 5'5" tall 110 lbs 30D with a straight body shape and long limbs with a short torso. I typically wear a size 0 or XXS-XS. I ordered this suit in the smallest size offered, a 2. This one-piece looks great on but if a 0 were offered it would be a better fit. The 2 has a bit of extra fabric for me in the middle - being small and having a short waist. Also, there is no way that I can wear it without the neck strap, it falls right off! I would say this fits true-to-size, I just wish Sunshine 79 offered a 0.

Nice Print! Nice Fabric!

This Sunshine 79 Bandeau Mio One Piece Swimsuit in Sky / Fresh Blooms is a nicely designed suit with lots of nice features that you would expect in this price range. The colors and print are amazing and absolutely perfect for the season! The material is stretchy but still gives you a firm coverage. The suit itself is fully lined in a complimentary solid color. The accents are very well done, the bandeau ring in the front, detachable strap, and a little logo button on the back. It has a shelf bra detail with removable pads. It provides full coverage and has nicely cut high leg openings with still enough fabric so that it does not ride up in the back. The suit does seem to run small to size and would recommend a size up. To me (5'7" - C cup) the suit feels a bit short and the bra shelf seems small. Might have to try it with the padding out to see if it fits better. I would not feel comfortable removing the strap as a result. Overall, given that it's tough to determine from reviews and order a bathing suit online, I'd say give this one a try especially if Amazon is offering free returns. It's a really nicely made suit and you might be pleasantly surprised! :)

Short and snug

Sunshine 79 is a new brand to me, and I ended up ordering a bunch of their swimwear to try out. Across the board, the quality is great, the colors are vibrant, and the pieces I tried are true to the online photos. The material is soft, flexible, and still feels like it'll hold up for a long time. I'm 5'2", 110lbs, 32B and ordered size 2 of everything. I'll admit, I had better luck with their two-piece sets than with either of the one-piece suits I tried. I had high hopes for this one, but it ended up being way too small. The material is thick and durable, but has very little stretch; I was barely able to get it over my (negligible) hips. Once on, it felt like a sausage casing. Very snug, and also too short in the torso - which is a problem I almost never have, but did notice with both Sunshine 79 one-piece suits I ordered. The bandeau top barely covered my bust, and when I removed the strap, it sank dangerously lower. It also had a tendency to flip at the seam showing the lining material. That being said, the swimsuit is still cute. As mentioned, the strap is removable, as are the cups, which makes it versatile. The pattern is vibrant and summery, and the design of the back is very unique. I will say the bottoms are a bit more cheeky than expected. So - if you can figure out your correct size, I'd recommend this! Just didn't work for me.

This is the cutest swimsuit ever! I love the fun patterns and bright quality of the suit. It looks adorable on too. The sizing is off though. I ordered a 12. I am 5'9 and 155lbs. The 12 fits me snugly. I typically wear an 8. So you may want to size up a bit.

Size up

The media could not be loaded. Very nice fabric. Not cheep material at all. The sizing is small. I would definitely order a size up if you are in between sizes. I do not like the metal “79” logo stitched on the back. You can see it in my video. It catches on things and already tore off. The single strap that goes around your neck is very thin and larger chested people will most likely get sore from it. Not a bad suit definitely made of good quality materials. Hope you found this helpful
