Cute But Not Super Sturdy

This item is pretty cute and I'm glad I got it but I definitely think it could have been better. It's made of a thick plastic which isn't particularly appealing especially at the coin slot area. I could ignore that since you get what you pay for but when you try to put a coin in it you have to be extraordinarily careful when you turn it so that you don't break the whole machine. That's probably my biggest issue with it. I know you get what you pay for but even for the price they should have made it just a little bit better but overall it's still cute as long as whoever is using it isn't careless with their items.

Decent

I bought the Classic Dubble Bubble Gumball Coin Bank. As I bought this as a gag gift for a friend (adult age), my expectations were low. All I wanted was: (A) for it to work properly : I did verify that the bank works properly. After placing the gumballs inside, I inserted a penny into the money slot, turned the knob, & received a gumball. (B) be mostly full of gumballs (as pictured). :As you can see from the pics, 50 gumballs (included in the package) doesn't go a long way. So please don't expect this item to look like the displayed picture on the site. Also, please know that the plastic is very thin. Measurements are given at weighing a little over a pound & I think that's with the gumballs inside. Understanding that it's a novelty item, I get the price. But considering the flimsy-ness of the product material...I think it's a little overpriced. I'd say $10-15 (not $20) would be closer to its worth. Overall, though, it's what I needed so I bought it & again, I'm happy that it works. UPDATE: 2/10/2023 - and now I've found out that neither the top nor the bottom cover hold in place very securely. As I was trying to pack this item, both the top & bottom covers came off. I barely moved the item. I was able to get the covers back on, but still.

Kids enjoy

My kids love using this it makes eating gum more fun. Only issue I have is the bottom does not stay on.

Good for the kids!

Let's be real here, at this price you are not getting the same build quality as a metal machine. ...but that's okay! This is great to give to the little ones; a fun and easy way to get them to save up their coins. I have mine sitting on a coffee table for my niece and nephews to use when they visit. They get a treat, and I get any loose coins picked up! I'll leave you with two tips I've found; First if your kids are particularly sneaky, they'll try to take coins out of the bottom and reuse them for free gum, this is easily fixed with a piece or two of tape (the bottom doesn't lock, really. It just twists on/off) And lastly, if they use different size coins it may jam up the machine. Coins smaller than a quarter and smaller -will- work, but the machine needs to be flat when they turn the handle, it's picky

As described

I bought this for when my grandsons come over. I have M&Ms in it. The only issue that I have is cleaning it. When it arrived, of course, I had to wash it, but only the lid and the bottom are removable. The top has too small of an opening to hand wash. I ended out just putting soap in it, then running hot water in it, til the water was clear.

It works

All plastic but nothing was broken and it came with the gumballs like it said. Kind of price high for the quality.

Jammed doors, combo locks that won't spin.

Horrible, Absolutely horrible. Trust the negative reviews on this one. After getting the safes my girls were so excited that they could keep their secret items safe. Unfortunately, they had to witness their dad using a pry bar to break open their safe after the first day. I tried everything I could. Sprayed lubricant through the crack in the door. Turned the lock a thousand times. I was hesitant looking at the negative reviews, but it was exactly the gift they were looking for. The locks work for approximately 20-30 opens, then they are done. FYI I bought two and it was the same for both. Pictures show doors on the safe stuck, and me trying to turn the combo.

The size and durability make this piggy bank a worthwhile purchase!

Although he has no concept of money yet--thank goodness--my 2-year-old grandson adores his "Piggy". He likes the jingly sound of the coins inside. So far, he has not made any attempts to extract them. (To loosen the cover of the small opening at the bottom requires further development of his manual dexterity.) The beauty of this pig is not only its ample size and durability (a hard plastic), but also it overall cuteness and the kerchief bib which matches my grandson's drool bib.

Pretty awesome premium piggy bank

Pros: elegant, very good construction and with more capacity than expected Cons: a bit on the heavy side and the cavity inside does not prevent coins from entering the legs. A couple of quarters actually got stuck down one of the legs making it very dificult to get them out. Overall: would definitely buy again and recommend it to anyone looking for a piggy bank. Very classy and my 2 year old daughter can carry it around without fear of it falling and breaking.

Suitable for a younger child

This was a gift for my 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it as do her parents as it is not breakable.
