All That Shimmers Is Not Gold!
Upgrading my kitchen I wanted silver cafe rods. As you can see, my three windows are different styles and sizes, but I wanted a more uniform look. I also prefer silver over gold. At least two of the three have the same stlye of rod. My casement window needed the larger 48+ rod, shown in the first picture, which came with a third bracket holder. I may install that at a later date because I will need to add a shim/platform as casements, in my house at least, are set back from the outside trim. I am putting the same review on that product as well. The longer rod came slightly bent even though it was packaged in a HUGE box with package wrap and the smaller rod. I used it the way it was in part because I hate waiting and returns and in part because my house is imperfect anyway...hah! Hopefully they stay rust free for years to come, but the price was comperable to local products I have available and only gold, white, and ivory are choices...again, I prefer shimmering silver.

Nice, but arrived bent
Needed a long thin bar. Yes this hit all categories, but only 2 stars because we had to straighten the bar. Arrived warped so we couldn't extend so had to carefully bend it back and make it work.

Perfect for the right curtain.
"Cafe" rods are typically light weight and are not intended for much more than a lightweight cotton curtain. I wanted this one for my 84"x52" sheers and it's perfect for them. No strain at all. It would also be fine for something like a sheer or cotton set of tiers and valance for kitchen or bathroom. I have curtains that weight a little over 3 pounds and this rod would not be suitable for them at all.

Very easy to install, and sturdy
When my wife said she wanted to install curtain rods (me install them) in all of the door windows and main Windows, this was the set that kept coming up with good reviews and had every size available pretty much. As you can see, works perfect. All you have to do is drop the rod in the top, and it kind of snaps into place. Four screws on the top rod, four screws on the bottom rod, and you're good to go. Very glad that I got these, as they were much cheaper then if we would have gone to the local store (and wife loves them). Actually, in all fairness, these actually looked sturdier than the ones in the store did.

one of the rods was bent
The rods look good and everything was great except that one of the rods arrived squashed on one end. I didn't return it because my handyman was already here to put them up and I didn't want to pay him to come back again later. We were able to slide the curtain over the rod anyway so you couldn't see it. BUT, it was a manufacturer error as the packaging was in good shape. Quality control should have spotted it. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

Connectivity is poor
Nearly every time I go to open and close the curtain it pulls apart in the middle. I have tried to lock it in place but that comes undone easily. I have since just broken down and taped the middle portion together. Looks great and is light but that is a cute drawback for me personally.

A little too light weight
With the size of the box, how on earth did only one of the cafe curtain rods get bent. I bent it back (roughly) into shape. Not worth replacing. I just used it.

Didn’t what I wanted it to do... the only reason I’m giving it a 4 is bc normally things like this come in 2.. but this was only one piece

The rod is very cheap and arrived bent However we were able to make it work but i do not reccomend buying this rod.
