Beautiful dress, good quality
5’7” 145lbs usually a S/M 34E bust which this fits perfect, other reviews mentioned it’s too big in the bust so if you are small chested maybe size down. I purchased the medium and still had room. Has boning in the side which help the dress hold its shape and give you that cinched in waist. Love that straps can cover a regular bra. I would say it’s not as vibrant as the online image, it’s more of a deep raspberry color, really pretty against the nude underlayer. The lace is beautiful and hemline doesn’t look cheap.

Runs small, but good quality
I purchased 2 Dress the Population dresses, and possibly they just aren't made for my body type. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs, athletic, but very lean, straighter shape (34B-27-34), pretty consistent size 4. I couldn't zip up either of the dresses purchased. Now, since I'm tall, often the waist is up too high - like waist of rib cage which means no zipping. The black dress (not this one) had adjustable straps - still couldn't zip. If you're tall or have a straight shape, you should look elswhere. If you are super short, I can tell you that both dress, incld this one, hit at or below my knees - so if you're short, this is going to be very long on you.

Tight body, loose bust. Mostly flattering.
The DTP Nicole dress is a bodycon dress with a very fitted style. The picture on the model made me think it was more of a sheath dress. The dress is very tight on my and the lining and stretch lace overlay hold me in. The dress likely is supposed to fit like my pictures, but I felt self conscious about wearing this to a client’s gala (I’m 41). This dress has boning in the bodice, which I thought was weird at first. I later realized it made the dress more flattering and stay in place. I have tried this dress in a store in solid black and it didn’t have boning and it didn’t look as good on. The tan underlay and horizontal striping was flattering and somehow creates and illusion that smoothed and distracts from small imperfections. I am 5’5”, 136 lbs, 36”x28.5”x29x (34D) and am wearing a medium. I usually wear a size 6, sometimes an 8 in dresses. In the pic I’m wearing a very padded strapless bras with an extra set of bra inserts and the bust is still too big. Tailoring at the bust and hemming 1” would be needed (typical for all dresses I buy). I carry some fat in my back right above the waist and as I would walk, the dress would creep up and create a roll at the back of my waist. I had to pull it down to prevent this from happening, and I think it’s because my waist is slightly too big for this dress. This dress in a medium is designed to fit someone 38x27x38. I have tried on many DTP dresses and they never fit me properly so I would say 38x27x38 is the right size for all their medium dresses. I thought it looked pretty good for being so tight, but didn’t want to spend the evening sucking in, feeling self-conscious after eating, or pulling it down when I walked. My 7 year old said I didn’t look comfortable, and I know he tells the truth!
