Ok, not “great” dress

I saw this dress on Rent the Runway and they didn’t have a large available for my event and ended up finding it on Amazon. Listen to all of the reviews! Size up. I was a small, but now mostly a medium postpartum. I sized up to a Large. The fabric and lace don’t have any stretch, which makes it really difficult to close the zipper (it kind of snags). It also felt a bit tight around my rib cage. Many reviews indicated that the slip/lining underneath was extremely short (and I could clearly see in many photos that this was indeed the case), however the dress I received did not have this problem. I’m wondering if my torso is shorter than most others that reviewed it. The dress was a bit longer than I expected. I am 5’3”, and it hit my ankles. I think this dress would be more flattering on someone much taller and with a fuller chest I’m a 34A/B. There was some gaping and extra room in the front. It’s not that noticeable because of the lace, but I didn’t personally like it that much. Overall a pretty dress, but does have a lot of minor details that takes away from it feeling like a “great” dress.

Fits nicely but the dress arrived with a strong odor

I have this dress in another color and loved it so much I decided to purchase it again. Last time I ordered directly from the brand’s website, but saw Amazon had it on sale so I bought it from here instead. When the dress arrived, there was a very strong odor coming from it. I tried airing it out for a day or two, but the smell did not really go away. I am hoping if I bring it to the dry cleaner it will help get rid of it!

Runs too tight and small in chest/band

This dress runs about one to two inches too small in the chest/band. I was unable to zip it up the last three inches or so. The dress itself is very pretty and well made (unlined) If I sized up, the other parts of the dress would have been too large/long, so had to return. I purchased the medium, I am a size 6 36C. I think a band size of 34 or less could zip into a medium

Great dress

It was an amazing dress. Definitely runs small around the ribs. Great for a special occasion great quality!

Sizing inconsistent, quality just ok

I ordered this dress in two different colors, one from Amazon and one from a different retailer. I am normally an XS/2 and ordered a medium per reading prior reviews. The one from Amazon was quite roomy on me but the other from the other retailer fit just right. It seems that a lot of the size issues I see in the reviews may just be that the sizes are extremely inconsistent. The quality is just ok. The stitching quality is so so and the zipper is definitely not the most securely stitched in. However, it is perfectly adequate and I guess I would not expect perfect quality for a dress of this price range. Overall - I think it’s a decent dress and looks very nice for an event without breaking the bank. But the feel of the material and stitching etc definitely gives it away as not the highest quality.

I got a medium dress

Zipper is horrid. I am usually a medium, or US size I am a 6,8 dress size. I’m 4’11 weighing 144 but the dress didn’t close. Also the zipper felt like it would rip the dress if I forced to close it so I had to return the dress

Beautiful, great quality but small at the chest

This dress is wonderful quality for the price and looks much more expensive than it is! However, it was tight in the chest for me even with no bra which is generally not the case for me. I got a size Small and I have a 25 inch waist and am a 34B in the chest. It was fine at the waist but definitely hard to zip in the chest area and I have to return it sadly. A medium will be too lose in the waist. This dress doesn't have any stretch to it which I think is fine but just make sure to check the measurements well. Good thing Amazon has a great return policy!

Beautiful dress!

I've been looking for a midi lace dress with a seam like this for about a year, but I was never happy with either the color or the particular shape, length, etc. of the dresses I found in German online stores. This dress is amazing because it comes on many different colors and it has the option of international shipping from the US! Very thankful for this, as the dress arrived within a week (!) and it was exactly as I had hoped. I am quite tall (about 1,78 m) and so the adjustable straps are very good, as I can match the top part perfectly to my upper body. I ordered a size s which is my regular dress size – the dress sits quite tight, but since I hadn't planned wearing a bra underneath, this is very good. I usually vary between a size 2 and 4 (US sizes, European sizes: 34/36) depending on the fit of the particular dress, but for all of you not being sure what size they are I'd still recommend rather ordering a size up to be on the safe side :-) I like the length of the underdress, because it makes the dress look very sexy instead of 'granny-style' which can sometimes be the case with midi lace dresses. I ordered the color pink mauve, the actual color is very close to the image – maybe a bit paler, but in a nice way. I'm considering getting another one in a different color!
